Anyone remember this? Little Steven, Bruce, Bono, Lou Reed, Dylan, Hall and Oates, Bonnie Raitt, Pat Benatar, Peter Gabriel, David Ruffin, Run DMC, Ringo Starr, Joey Ramone, George Clinton and a slew of rappers/hip-hop artists....

I hadn't thought about this song in years. Now I want an mp3 of it. The vinyl (which, of course, I used to have) is 300 bucks on amazon (PJ prices! :shock: :lol: ). If anyone can send me an mp3, I would be forever in your debt!

    Thanks for putting that up, it was really great to see it again, one of those songs that was filed in the back of my brain and hadn't thought about it for a long time. Sure I used to have it somewhere, probably on tape - who knows where it's gone now.

    1985, aaaaah the year I turned 18 :D

    I totally forgot about this. What other supergroup could boast Joey Ramone, Darryl Hannah, the Fat Boys and Bono with a weird quasi-beard?

    I am bumping this. Given what happened this week, it is informative to remember that this week wasn't the first time musicians boycotted a place that they thought was doing unjust things.

    TBF she was with Jackson Browne at the time. Probably how she got the background vocal on that duet he did with the big man, You're A Friend Of Mine.

    On that note, it's ironic that Joey and the rest of the band mocked these kind of charity songs in the video for Something To Believe In.

    Ha ha, I have it on vinyl, its a 45. Funny thing I was thinking about it just the other day, because of all of this boycotting thing.

    I don't think most people realize that Pete Townshend played guitar on the recordings, but wasn't in the video. His absence from the video is obviously a reason why.
