my whole life I wanted to be nothing like you
and the whole time I admired you
the whole time I saw you as weak
and now I finally understand

you were such a fool
but you were also my King

I am so much like you
and my whole life I wished that I was
nothing near you
FUCK, I finally understand

you were such the fool
but you were still my King

it’s been 4 years
you should still be here
but you gave up
you left me, you left us.

you are such a fucking fool for doing so
but your still my King

why couldn’t we, I, be enough
you left so much behind
you drank it away
you gave us up

this is your day
you fool, you King you !!

I miss you more than YOU would ever believe
did you really think you could go and not completely fuck me?
83 don’t seem that old to me
79 and out seems such a waste to me

you sonofabitch, you fool
you, fools King

you could have lived!
but you gave up
lost without her
I understand

you fool you,
you, my father,
I am becoming you.

happy birthday Dad
you miserable fuck you !

I love you. I miss you . I miss you everyday. I’ll miss you always.
Peace, Love.

  • Wolf... this, this is something man... last weekend I was busy cursing my father and then cursing myself and then cursing him and then me again.... your poem here is some black comedy and I fuckin love it.

"you son of a bitch you... happy birthday, you miserable fuck you..." this is gold man... I have to say it cracked me up, but that don't mean I'm not gettin what you mean... some solid stuff and very emotional... I could go on, but I'd be rambling: )

After reading just a couple of paragraphs, I knew right away you were talking about your father and in the end of your poem you mentioned him. These are great feelings to get out. You did a beautiful job in your poem. Thank you sending and sharing.

Thanks guys. I was really, really drunk. We, we being my sister and I, and some friends of mine who really liked my dad went to the bar and had drinks last night. We were all making up stupid rhymes and poems about him all night. LOL then i went home and had a few more beers and posted this. I woke up this morning and remembered that i posted something and was really hoping it was not as bad as what we were doing at the bar. :?

dad was born on april fools day, that in and of itself says a lot about the man. ; )

he was the king of fools for sure, and i really miss him.

    love ya' pops.
    Peace, Love.

I read this this morning and it reminded me of a saying that my boyfriends dad used to say to him, (his dad passed away 6 years ago),

    "Like you I once was,
    Like me you will be."

The strange thing was that I decided to show your poem to my boyfriend, who read it and then reminded me that it had been 6 years to the day since his dad had passed........ spooky!!!
    (Yes, I had forgotten....bad girlfriend :? )
My boyfriend loved your poem, so I'm glad you decided to post it!

what your boyfriends dad said is so true. I'm finally okay with that I think, being like him.

that is spooky, I'm glad your BF liked the poem.

a much older friend told me the day after my dad died that I was finally a "man" .

I was confused, I had just turned 33 when dad died.

but my friend said "we are not true men until we lose the only true man in our lives, until that day we are still just boys."

that has always stuck with me. I think he's right.
    Peace, Love.
