Israeli Planes and Helicopters Bomb Gaza Targets
Published on Thursday, April 1, 2010 by Reuters

Israeli planes and helicopters carried out at least seven missile attacks on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on Friday, causing damage and slightly wounding two children, Palestinian witnesses and officials said.

They said four air strikes took place in open areas near the central town of Khan Younis, the site of a deadly clash last week between Israeli troops and Palestinian gunmen.

Two caravans were destroyed there in Friday's attack but there were no casualties, officials said.

A fifth missile hit a cheese factory in Gaza City, setting it on fire, witnesses and Hamas officials said. Hospital officials said two children were injured by flying debris.

Helicopters struck twice in the central refugee camp of Nusseirat, destroying a metal foundry. There were no casualties.

An Israeli military spokesman declined immediate comment.

Late on Thursday, a Palestinian short-range rocket landed in Israel, causing no casualties, the military said. There was no claim of responsibility.

An Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip early last year was designed to counter such salvoes. They have resumed sporadically in recent weeks, provoking Israeli air strikes.

Because of course the Israeli's want peace. This is in no way an attempt to scupper another Palestinian peace offensive. Just ask Yosi. He's an expert.

B and Pepe... Israel were only retaliating because a rocket had landed in Israel. It didn't cause damage or casualties, but all they exerted was their right to defense. After all, Israeli planes and helicopters destroying a cheese factory, a metal workshop, a farm, a couple of caravans and wounding a couple of children is a perfectly measured response, isn't it? Well.... that's what they would like us to believe. Strange that these attacks just happened to be concentrated in Khan Younis where a couple of soldiers (and palestinians, let's not forget) were killed in clashes last week.

EDIT: Oh! Actually, Israel said they targetted a couple of weapons manufacturing factories and a couple of weapon storage facilities. How could we have thought otherwise?

A cheese factory????? Come on, WTF, just get it over with. Go in there and fucken end there misery already. Fuck, what are you going to do, slowly kill them. What are you going to leave them with?? You've taken EVERTHING from them and yet YOU want MORE.....when's enough ENOUGH??? In the eyes of the world, the Palestinians have no value. They're treated as if they're not humans....ok, let's now hear the defenders defend.

i'd like yosi to spin me a tale about the lavon affair, or Operation Susannah or why in 2005 Israeli President Moshe Katsav honored the Israeli's involved in it?
