May 17th at the TD Garden will be my first ever PJ show. I can't even put into words how excited I am, I can't wait to finally get to be a part of something so incredible...will anybody else's first show ever be on this tour?
The oceans made me, but who came up with love?

Mine was Hartford 08. I know how you're feeling. The anticipation leading up to your first show. The days leading up to the show are going to drag if you just think about it. Once the show starts...words can't describe the feeling once those first notes start. It's magical.

This will be my second time seeing them at the XL Center.

Hartford and Boston will be my 4th and 5th shows respectively. Like Newch said, once the show starts, it's euphoric. The worst part of your night will be hearing YL or RITFW or Baba or Ed saying goodbye. That makes you want to start drinking all over again.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

Probably won't find too many first timers on this board. Have a great time at your first show. You'll be hooked for life.

I'm going to consider this tour as my first show (MSG1). I saw PJ in 1992 (I think? at SPAC as part of the lollapalooza tour) but didn't think it was anything special -- or at least, they were very raw, with the caveat that I was pretty jaded at the time in that I worked at SPAC and saw any show I wanted to. Fast forward to 2010... I've got a 14 y/o daughter who's a huge fan and I've spent the last several months listening to PJ albums that I'd passed up over the years. I must confess that the sound is terrific compared to what I'd remembered and -- probably in the minority here -- I much prefer the current sound/vibe from the band to the one I saw nearly 20 years ago. In fact, I'm really excited to see the MSG show. My live fave is on hiatus for now (Springsteen) and I'm not sure how much longer he and the E Street Band can continue, so I'm hoping Eddie and PJ can take the torch and run with it until they're in their 60's.

So... in short -- I'm stoked! Can't wait for what I'll consider my first PJ show.

Nice thing about live music and those you see the shows with is that you'll never forget those moments. And when you throw down a couple hundred bucks on seeing an act that you know gives 100% every time then its money well spent. Have fun and look for us wherever they seat 10C members in the 450XXX+ range!
