    Yeesh, as if this song didn't scream adult contemp/top 40/soccer mom already. Agree that it's too soon for covers, too.

    The way I see it, is that is a compliment either way. A good cover or a bad one(I dug this one). If someone liked the song enough to try and make it their own, or simply kept it the same as they just did, it is a HUUUGE compliment imho. Hell, we are the worst!! How many of you here posted yourself on youtube for all the world to see DAYS after the record came out with your covers??? Alot more than will admit it I sure! ;-)...As I said, either way, I think it is a cool thing, and as for JB....Eddie with some of his best lyrics yet! How many of us can relate to them? I sure the fuck can! :-)...As you were...;-)

    Could you have gotten behind it had it been on ITW? Not being an ass either, just curious if it is because it is a PJ song and more suitable for that maybe??

    No, I think it's just a middle age vulnerability sap fest. It doesn't say PJ to me, and it doesn't say rock, but I don't think I would like it any better if it were any Eddie solo song.

    i've heard something similar to this before from someone, saying "just breathe isn't a pearl jam song, it's an eddie vedder song, it sounds like it should have been on into the wild, i don't want to hear an eddie vedder song at a pearl jam show." my question is would you rather hear 'just breathe' with all the guys participating in playing the song (which to me makes it a pearl jam song) or would you rather have eddie alone on the stage "rocking" out 'soon forget'? (not singling you out, king...just quoted you because of the ITW reference.)

    there's been occasions where songs were recorded by 2 different artists around the same time. "How do I live" LeAnn Rhimes and Trisha Yearwood, "I swear " All 4 one and John Michael Montgomery. Sometimes songs are recorded in other languages.
