I'm from St. Paul, MN...heading to Jazz Fest and St. Louis. Flying back to Minneapolis-St. Paul from New Orleans on Monday May 3, the night of KC show! Ugh. Of course I had booked our flights for Jazz Fest well before their tour was announced...had I know they were going to be playing 2 nights later in KC and then again in St. Louis, I would've talked the woman into catching a KC show on Monday night too. Ah well...2 shows will do for now. :D

  • Traveling from Phoenix Arizona! I have ten club tickets to Bristow, Hartford, Boston, MSG 1 and MSG 2.

I have three great friends (2 are PJ virgins) traveling with me from Hartford through New York. Two have never seen Pearl Jam live and wanted to be apart of the PJ tour experience based on my many stories of the 62 shows that I have attended since 1992. I have a ton of respect for these guys who are 100% committed to this 2010 PJ adventure!

I did some general math for my trip for me and my wife going to two shows:

    flight: $360
    hotels: $210
    car: $60
    gas: $60
    food and drinks: $280
    tickets: $360
    merch: $100
    parking/other: $60

    est. Total: $1500

with this estimate at 140 groups of 2 is about $210,000.

I would guess 2 shows is probably the average, though I've seen people going to more. My thought is if you are traveling one show might as well do the 2nd.

figure the average seating capacity is 20,000?? and even if folks can walk to the show, it's gotta still be a 100 dollar evening(including ticket).. I wish my band was famous..

The Pearl Jam inspired economic stimulus plan!!!

I won't include my international costs seeing as the purpose of my trip to US is to get married and the timing was pure 'coincidence' that Pearl Jam play NYC while we're there.
