Hmmmm. Always a great experience. You aren't looking for feedback so I'm just going to say "awesome dude, feels good doesn't it?". I loved framing my first.

    looks gorgeous!!
  • Have that poster framed in almost the same way. Same color over mat (green) with an orange under mat instead of yellow. Also, my frame is textured wood to look like the bark on the trees.

    Congrats! :D

...just people beware of Michaels. If you prefer the Big Box chains, that's fine, but a framer of mine used to work at Michael's and was "trained" by them to attach the art by putting tape on the backside of the mat and taping the mat to the face of the prints... forever ruining any value they had. Among other first-hand stories of horror there.

Mind if I ask what the final price was? :)
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

I heard that too -- although not quite the exact same thing but that they use tape to get everything in place. I got my one framed poster done there and asked and they assured me they never use tape so I'm not sure what they did.

It was an EV solo poster so not like its worth tons or anything, but I would probalby never let them frame a poster that was worth as much as the frame!

Yeah, I'm hoping they didn't do anything messed up... but I just keep hearing stories from former employees or customers. For those who just want it to "look ok" then most of the time you're ok. But anything of value... forget about it. I had a customer who switched to me after bringing a limited edition print to them to frame. ...they cut off the signature and limited edition number, and taped it to the back of the frame. They didn't know the difference between a limited edition and cheap poster (some people who frame inexpensive posters and hide the title, want the title cut off and attached to the back).

...anyone know the name of this print the OP framed? I'd like to look up the size and see how my non-sale prices compare to Michael's frame prices for this same job.

It would be interesting to hear what, on average, people pay to have a print framed.

I am looking to get my EV Rocket print framed and it would be helpful to know about how much I am going to need to spend. Its a s/n copy so I want to be sure that its done right to protect the print (acid-free mat, UV glass, etc) but I am not sure how much it will cost. Am I looking at $150, $200? $250? more?

Great frame for a great piece of art. Its a toss up for me between this and SLC for best of the tour.

Did you get Museum Glass or Conservation Glass (or their own brand of "masterpiece" glass)?
