BUFFALO/HSBC SEATING CHART RESEARCH...

Just got off the phone with tickets.com and picked the representatives brain apart regarding the specifics of their seating layout. Here's what I learned:

1. FLOOR sections 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 have 13 seats in each row and there are 23 rows per section. If your seat is row 24 that means it is row 1 in either section 4, 5, or 6. Sections 5 and 6 run row 24-46 while section 4 is row 24 to 30-something (it's smaller and in front of the soundboard).

2. That means there are 897 seats in the first 3 sections which were, according the rep, unavailable to the general public when I asked (obviously reserved by 10C).

3. This also puts an ODD seat out there in each of the first 3 sections as well as the second tier of floor seats which will be released, most likely, the day of the show so keep your eyes peeled... you could score an amazing single come the right moment on the day of the show or the night before. My math tells me there would be up to 115 floor "singles" available.

4. The closest wing sections are 106 (mike), 107 (mike), 115 (stone), and 116 (stone). There are 22 seats per row AND aisle seat 22 is the CLOSEST to the stage while seat 1 is farthest from the stage in each row. I think she said there are 22 rows in those sections and in 107 and 115 the sections are angled so there are less seats in these rows up close and more seats as you elevate a little more.

5. 968 total seats in sections 106 and 116.

6. 782 floor seats (391 pairs) + 968 wing seats (only counting 106 and 116 - 484 pairs) = 875 pairs. Touring fans estimates 1,530 pairs were sold so we could go even further back into the wings a little bit in Buffalo... if there is any method to their madness that is...

I thought this might help to guesstimate where your 10C seats might be. My number is high enough where I hope I get wing section seating or else I'll be way back on the floor. Boooooooooooooooooooo. Fingers crossed.

Over and out........

I always hope to land in the wings too. I am 319xxx, and if it goes by primarily order and there are about as many pairs as touringfans says, I should be lined up very nicely for great wing seats.

However, doesnt the 10c seating take a break part way through the order and start filling the best wing seats with good numbers? Maybe Im wrong.

Those "odd" numbered end of the row seats may be gone already... in 08 I requested a single seat for the Hartford show right at the on sale date for the general public at ticketmaster and got sec 200 (middle) row b, which works out to be the 5th row... (It goes A1, B1, C1, then row A, B, C, etc...) That seat was at the end of the row and right on the isle, right in front of Mike. It was Wayyy better than my fan club seats so my son and my buddy who went with me rotated in the seat every six songs...

So those "odd" tickets are sold to the general public customers right away...

Also did the same thing here in Hartford this year at the XL and got Sec 104, Mike's side again, Row H and seat 15... Likely the end of the row again...

Also, like somebody else also suggested, go to Stub Hub and look and see what sections where there are no seats for sale in... Those will be 10C seats. Or sections with only 1 or 2 seats close by the stage...

without knowing the number of 10C members in attendance, and which 10C member numbers they hold, this seems like an awful lot of work for nothing on your part; however, as you stated it serves to provide a very rough estimate.
To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

the 10C does not get every seat in every row
    especially the prime wing seats.

Actually, for some of you, this would have been a lot of work. For me it was a 5 minute phone call and a few minutes to recap it. As I said, I base the "estimate" on what touring fans "estimated" the 10C pair purchases to be:

    * Approx Pairs Sold: 1,530 ( * 2 = 3,060 seats)

So, there you have it. If you found my post useful that's cool. If you didn't then too bad. :D Cynical ehhhhhh.... oles.

no shit. it even illustrates my point that there are better opportunities for people with shitty numbers. I also hear the guy who said something about getting the good seats when they went onsale... I had 3rd row stone side in San Diego from TM.

However... THESE SEATS WEREN;T SOLD for Buffalo. The lady said so. She said and reiterated the ENTIRE SECTIONS were reserved and any stragglers will be released "closer to the show". Maybe I left that out.

no need to be so testy.

and i salute you for your quick typing abilities.

    ;)

just to expand on my previous comment above: there is a great deal of "guesstimate" work with regards to TouringFans' database, as it's impossible to know which of the lowest and highest order numbers have been shared by members. furthermore, a majority of concertgoers don't utilize TouringFans. therefore, without putting too much stock in TouringFans' database, you certainly went above and beyond the call of duty to provide a guess.
