obviously auckland. sure, chch may have had a slightly whackier setlist, but we got BLACK and Love Reign... and Not Given Lightly... and Ed telling the pushy crowd off..

(probably CHCH, but I can't bring myself to listen to it because I didn't go... and I fucking love my Auckland boot)

Every time I hear Christchurch or see clips on YouTube, I just hear a tired band.

Auckland... if you buy that one you will be listening to one of the very few performances of Hold On, and a great one too.

well Christchurch won this match! I bought it, and I have to say I'm def enjoying it. some nice lil highlights...
-a near perfect "The End" (maybe better than the studio)
-stadium singing Happy Birthday to Matt
    -Got You with Neil Finn
-Better Be Home soon w/Neil Finn
    -Indifference w/ Ben Harper
-smoking version of Red Mosquito w/ Ben
-scorching Mike solos in Even Flow
-Tremor Christchurch (as Ed sings it!)
-plus some cool banter from Ed (as usual I guess)

the only thing is that I was expecting the sticker on the outside to be grey like it is in the goods section...but it is purple! I've since grown to dig that, too..check it:

You chose well my friend! I'm from Adelaide but went to Christchurch to see them and they were nothing short of fucking fantastic! As they always are though, lets face it. I screamed my guts out when Neil Finn came out! Was that a big deal to you kiwis or do you see him heaps around those parts????

I'm backing the Akl boot as well. It totally rocks - yeah, Black, Not Given lightly, Love Reign.... but, ah, yeah I'm totall biased coz I can't bear/bare(?) to listen to the Chch one coz I didn't go. Anyway, bias aside the Akl one rocks!

e.t.a. next time they come down under I am SO going to multiple shows then buying all the boots!
