That has to be the worst corporate name for a concert venue ever. Unless they exclusively host Coldplay concerts

If the name reflects the local interests such as Heinz Field than I do not have a problem with naming rights. Until a building starts to turn into a merry go round of bank names or Land Shark Beer it starts too look terrible!

Yeah, I personally am not a fan of corporate sponsor names of venues.

That said, Safeco Field is Safeco Field and I never want to have them change that name. That name just fits and sounds good as a ballpark name, even though it's an insurance company that now has been bought out, but still allows Safeco to do business as, Safeco Insurance. So, the name of the ballpark lives on...

Sleep Country is a local Oregon/Washington Chain, so I guess it's OK. Still a dumb name for a venue though.
    NERDS!

Not really big news, though in 2008 it was funny because Tweeter was facing bankruptcy and sold its naming rights in June. So Pearl Jam played at the Comcast Center in Mansfield even though the tix were already printed with Tweeter Center on them.

Just another sad state of reality in this country, and I guess the world now, where everything is a "put your corporate whore name here" amphitheater, arena, theater, etc. And aside from the antics there in 2003, god bless the dump known as the Nassau Coliseum, the only remaining dump in the country that no corporation will even put it's name on!
