Teabonics

Thanks to the excellent folks at John Cole's Balloon Juice, I discovered an entire Flickr page dedicated to those horribly misspelled, grammatically butchered, intellectually challenged teabagger signs.

Oh yeah... that special dialect is called "Teabonics"....

Someone should be given the job Official Tea Party Sign Checker cause they seem to have an abundant problem with their signage.

Here they apparently had the sign correctly but when it came time to color it in they reverted back to what they know or apparently what they don't know.

    Too funny. :D

Of course it is impossible that the sign wasn't messed with right before the camera took the picture.

The funny part is that is all you guys got. All you do is point out misspelled words, cry racism, or use the term teabagger like it actually offends anyone. Forget debating the points they make that this administration is spending money so fast that they can't print it quick enough to keep up, that this administration is not change and that it is business as usual.

But someone, who granted probably is not as intelligent as you geniuses, forgets some punctuation and the whole thing becomes a bunch of crazies protesting the black man.

That is what makes me laugh. You refuse to see the big picture because you hate to admit that they are really right and that they make many valid points. Instead let MSM continue to think for you. You complain about the GOP toeing the party lines yet LIBERALS are far and away the most GUILTY of doing so. Keep missing the point, keep posting pictures about how some guy told the feds to keep their hands off his medicare, it is laughable you fall for it. You know who else laughs? Your leaders. They are laughing because you keep the same fools in power because you are too afraid to actually make real change. Take off the blinders.

actually for me it's the hypocrisy and stupidity of the teabaggers arguments...when some 70 year old man whines about socialism and he wants the gov't to leave his medicare alone...

or the person getting disability benefits yelling about socialism...or the out of work teabagger crying about spending as it started yesterday....

there points have been addressed...you and the teabaggers don't want to hear it....

A 70 year old man can complain about whatever he wants. "There" points? Ok. See how stupid that looked?

Face the issues because your liberal leadership loves that you are easily distracted by signs that people make. All they have to do is jingle a set of shiny keys and you guys lose focus of what is really important. Spending is out of control and has been for 10 years. It needs to stop.

ha ha...busted...there...good catch... at me.... :D

if spending is the issue...then fine, address all spending...you know like corporate welfare or war costs...if they focused on all spending then I would be more supportive...

He keeps saying to "face the issues" but he doesn't seem to understand that these ARE the issues. :?

If you have a problem with criticism of spelling, unsung, that's one thing. But you defeat your own argument when you include in your problem criticism of the content of the signs.

Do you think they are racist? Since I haven’t seen any Black Americans at any of there shows:?

Interesting non sequitur there, because the lack of African Americans at any of their shows does not by and itself indicate racist activity.
However, if Jeff Ament suddenly proclaims that we should start enforcing "literacy tests" again as a requirement to vote... then that would be racist.

And furthermore, to clarify the point of this thread - it's not the misspellings, the bad grammar, and the ridiculous outfits that I have a beef with. It's the sheer idiocy and hypocrisy. Putting up signs like "Don't steal from Medicare to fund Socialized Medicine" is ludicrous in its face, even if it were properly spelled and grammatically correct.
It's especially more striking with those xenophobic "English only" signs that have glaring errors in them. Heck, if they can't even master their own language, what right do they have to impose it on everyone?

Actually, if it wasn't for these idiot teabaggers that are infused with racists, we may have been able to focus on the major problems within the Obama admin. I'm not sure if you have noticed but the left isn't all that happy with Obama. The left actually cares about issues like needless wars, true healthcare, the patriot act, and believe it or not..... out of control spending.

But it's this joke of a group that gets noticed. And it's this joke of a group that's largely to blame for the healthcare bill that eventually got passed. You see, if they weren't so idiotic about "socialism' and "death panels", maybe we could have got some form of a public OPTION intead of garbage like a mandated purchase of insurance.

It's clear as a bright blue sky that the teapartiers don't want any sort of change. They only really want the GOP back in power. This is evidenced by Sarah Palin speaking at their rally the same week she campaigns for McCain. How can you not see that the teapartiers are a joke??? You need to lose the blinders.

It's not the signs that make this movement a joke, it's the hypocrisy, the people, and the lack of knowledge on the issues. The signs simply make for some good entertainment.

The only thing this joke of a movement is doing is bringing the left together. Many on the left would rather be pushing Obama to make better decisions. But when we see blatent hypocrisy we veer away from real issues to deal with the wingnuts first. So the bigger this idiot movement becomes, the more you are going to solidify the left and push independents away from your craziness. So it is actually you who are allowing these polititions to get away with more of the same.

Have fun at your next rally. And remember to spell socialist on your sign properly. ;)

If everyone could get along and come together (with our differences) we could get Washington to listen. Could it be possible?

I've already stated that she is an idiot, and if you had read my previous posts on that topic it would have been obvious. I'm not the one with blinders on. I've stated McCain is a RINO and that he is only playing the game to get the vote. It all all the same from both parties, they keep electing the same people over and over expecting different results. You know what that is the definition for? Insanity.

McCain and Pelosi and Reid and Frank and Romney and Palin and about 90% of the rest can all go F themselves.

I actually agree with this statement to some extent. With a prerequisite-the majority of the teabaggers need to know what in the hell they are protesting. which may not be the case now.

I'm with starfall on this, its not the grammar that bothers me, although it is pretty goddamn funny.
