Thanks to the excellent folks at John Cole's Balloon Juice, I discovered an entire Flickr page dedicated to those horribly misspelled, grammatically butchered, intellectually challenged teabagger signs.

Oh yeah... that special dialect is called "Teabonics"....

Someone should be given the job Official Tea Party Sign Checker cause they seem to have an abundant problem with their signage.


Here they apparently had the sign correctly but when it came time to color it in they reverted back to what they know or apparently what they don't know.

Too funny.

The funny part is that is all you guys got. All you do is point out misspelled words, cry racism, or use the term teabagger like it actually offends anyone. Forget debating the points they make that this administration is spending money so fast that they can't print it quick enough to keep up, that this administration is not change and that it is business as usual.

But someone, who granted probably is not as intelligent as you geniuses, forgets some punctuation and the whole thing becomes a bunch of crazies protesting the black man.

That is what makes me laugh. You refuse to see the big picture because you hate to admit that they are really right and that they make many valid points. Instead let MSM continue to think for you. You complain about the GOP toeing the party lines yet LIBERALS are far and away the most GUILTY of doing so. Keep missing the point, keep posting pictures about how some guy told the feds to keep their hands off his medicare, it is laughable you fall for it. You know who else laughs? Your leaders. They are laughing because you keep the same fools in power because you are too afraid to actually make real change. Take off the blinders.

actually for me it's the hypocrisy and stupidity of the teabaggers arguments...when some 70 year old man whines about socialism and he wants the gov't to leave his medicare alone...

or the person getting disability benefits yelling about socialism...or the out of work teabagger crying about spending as it started yesterday....

A 70 year old man can complain about whatever he wants. "There" points? Ok. See how stupid that looked?

Face the issues because your liberal leadership loves that you are easily distracted by signs that people make. All they have to do is jingle a set of shiny keys and you guys lose focus of what is really important. Spending is out of control and has been for 10 years. It needs to stop.

He keeps saying to "face the issues" but he doesn't seem to understand that these ARE the issues. :?

If you have a problem with criticism of spelling, unsung, that's one thing. But you defeat your own argument when you include in your problem criticism of the content of the signs.

Interesting non sequitur there, because the lack of African Americans at any of their shows does not by and itself indicate racist activity.
However, if Jeff Ament suddenly proclaims that we should start enforcing "literacy tests" again as a requirement to vote... then that would be racist.


And furthermore, to clarify the point of this thread - it's not the misspellings, the bad grammar, and the ridiculous outfits that I have a beef with. It's the sheer idiocy and hypocrisy. Putting up signs like "Don't steal from Medicare to fund Socialized Medicine" is ludicrous in its face, even if it were properly spelled and grammatically correct.
It's especially more striking with those xenophobic "English only" signs that have glaring errors in them. Heck, if they can't even master their own language, what right do they have to impose it on everyone?

Well it would be more civil if you and the others would just state your point without the bullying. You could find misspelled words at most protest. Its nothing new....
