Without Joe Nathan, I don't think the Twins are the preseason AL Central lock they always are...

There's no way.. The Sox are a MUCH better team than last year. They have a deadly rotation and a very strong line-up... Plus they have Gordan Beckham. He could take on the AL Central single handedly. They are predicted to be on top in the MLB, let alone the AL Central.

We shall see. I have Beckham on a few fantasy teams so I hope you're right, but I just don't see it. They will be like the Indians were a few years ago when people were picking them to win it all (after they lost the ALCS) and then they had just an awful year. Predictions mean nothing, and this is mine.

You're right about the prediction thing. Its like a curse many times. Sox were expected to be last place when they won it all in '05.

My team, the Braves, will probably be a slightly better than average team. If Heyward meets expectations, he's gonna be fun to watch, but I'm not sure if he can...

As much as I hate to say it, I think the World Series will have the Phillies beating the Yankees in 6....

Heyward has a lot of expectations, goign to be tough to live up to them, Kind of like Montero with the Yanks.

Phillies can't beat the Yanks in 6

I'm not saying the Sox are a lock to win the Central, but picking the Indians to finish ahead of anyone in that division this year is laughable. And yes, that includes the Royals. I really think they're that bad.

The only real excitement for me as a GIants fan is whether TIm Lincecum will win a 3rd consecutive Cy Young award. The man is the most unreal pitcher I've ever seen.

Otherwise, I'll consider us fortunate if we make the playoffs.
