RNC spent $1946.25 at sex-themed nightclub Voyeur West Hollywood.
Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele evidently does not share the right’s disdain for Hollywood, a commitment to conservative spending practices, or discomfort with sexuality outside of traditional marriage. The Daily Caller reports that “FEC filings suggest Steele travels in style”:

Once on the ground, FEC filings suggest, Steele travels in style. A February RNC trip to California, for example, included a $9,099 stop at the Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,596 dropped at the nearby Four Seasons, and $1,620.71 spent [update: the amount is actually $1,946.25] at Voyeur West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex.

“There are topless ‘dancers’ acting out S&M scenes throughout the night on one of the side stages,” a rave review of Voyeur on Yelp.com describes. “There’s a half-naked girl hanging from a net across the ceiling and at one point I walked to the bathroom and pretty much just stopped dead in my tracks to watch two girls simulating oral sex in a glass case.” Although Steele’s high-flying ways have angered GOP donors, RNC communications director Doug Heye explains, “It takes money to make money.” (HT Oliver Willis)

Michael Steele was not there. He didn't know about it. He wouldn't have known about it," Heye said.
"The chairman was never at the location in question, he had no knowledge of the expenditure, nor does he find the use of committee funds at such a location at all acceptable. ... Good reporting would make that distinction crystal clear," Heye said in his statement.

I love how you post a line "more lies from the left". You truly are pathetic sometimes. when I read your article from Fox I noticed that the group that broke the story was started by Tucker Carlson. Do you know who that is? I'll give you a hint....he ain't on the left. It's amusing that you pick and chose your quote from the article. It seems you left out the part where the reporters said that they NEVER stated that Steele was at the club" but were hoping to find out who was".

    Nice try

right, because if anyone knows about good reporting it would be fox who have altered video and reported disgraced republicans as being democrats more than once

also it doesn;t say steel was there, it says the rnc spent money on it, which is true

I think this is a GOOD thing for the Conservatives in this country... it's definately a step in the right direction for them to be seen in a club with naked girls... instead of a stinking public restroom at an airport, trying to score male ass action.

Yeah well of course. That the GOP misused donor contributions is perfectly fine since the chairman himself didn't authorize the misuse.

This is pocket change compaired to the tax dollars Pelosi has spent on flying her family around on military aircraft.

Nice try, but this story doesn't debunk anything. All there talking about is what kind of plane she uses. And I don't care what they are using for a plane. This country is broke and they make good money so they should fly their own asses around. And yes, that goes for their republican predecessors also.

Obviously you didn't read the story. Pelosi is the Speaker of the House and she's entitled to military transport for official business like all previous speakers. You DO know that she becomes President if Obama and Biden are suddenly killed or incapacitated, no? Which kinda makes her important to protect.

In addition, when her family travels with her, they're required to compensate taxpayers for the cost of the travel and the Speaker is required to turn in any records of such travel. And when it's not related to official business, they travel on commercial flights on their own dime.

    Hardly anything to quibble over.

    Next question.
