Create the ultimate Pearl Jam album

Okay, the rules are simple... using only songs from their nine studio albums, create the ultimate Pearl Jam album.

But... there's a catch (making the rules simple but not THAT simple)... each song can only appear on your album in the same spot it occupied on the original release. So, your options for the first song on the ultimate album are Once, Go, Last Exit, Sometimes, Brain of J, Breakerfall, Can't Keep, Life Wasted, and Gonna See My Friend. For song number seven, your options are Oceans, Blood, Pry To, Habit, Do The Evolution, Insignificance, Thumbing My Way, Unemployable, and Unthought Known.

    Most of the albums are great as is, but okay, I have two suggestions:

    Last Exit

    Amongst the Waves

    OR

    [11 songs only...because perfect albums are on the short side, not the long side...imo]

    Yeah, I changed out my #11 about four times before hitting submit, and a few other entries will be completely different in an hour's time lol
    And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

    yes same here, i might have a piss about with this later, when i get a better chance, should be a laugh, if you don't take it too seriously

    When my sister came over to the States to visit me two years ago she made a point of taking a photo of a Yield sign just so she could say she had a photo of the album cover (In New Zealand they're called "Give Way" signs) - and no, they didn't rename the album "Give Way" in NZ to avoid confusing us :lol:

    Wow, I think the OP is a fan of a different band that hates PJ and his goal is to try to make all us PJ fans die by driving us insane, but I tried it and I think I'm gonna be ok.

    1. Gonna See My Friend (I cried picking this one)
    2. Spin the Black Circle (almost easy)
    3. Alive (not to bad, evacuation close 2nd)
    4. Why Go (easy)
    5. Black (choosing between this and nothingman was like trying to kill a baby)
    6. Off He Goes (easy)
    7. Blood (my parents had to knock me out via iron pot because I was breaking things picking between this and Thumbing my way)
    8. Of the Girl (easiest of all)
    9. Rats (this and lukin were very close, but the length got it for rats)
    10. Present Tense (easy)
    11. Release (by far the hardest desision I've ever had to make in my life, leash and betterman were the close 2nds)
    13. Immortality (around the bend is good but cmon)
    14. Arc (was great live ;) )
    15. All or none

    Wow that would be some brilliant album, couldnt have put it better myself. I havent gone to the albums yet to give my list but thats a great list!!! Great balance between their rockier and softer stuff, good blend of old and new. Maybe Marker in the Sand instead of Dissident (for me) ??

    Actually, it's an idea I stole from another band's message board... but that was a band with only five albums, not nine. I think I've changed mine four times since I posted yesterday... so if people want to pass on the challenge, I won't hold it against them :lol:
