and the rains came,….
washing away traces of despair
eroding at the foundation of depression

feeling the cool breeze from the gray sky,..
absorbing each precious cleansing drop of joy
and I bask in the ethereal beauty around me

the wet pavement under foot
puddles gathering like a small oasis for a thirsty mind
the dreariness matching the feelings inside

what will come with the sun is unknown
but for now the world seems right,
a perfect fit for a gloomy soul

for now at least, I feel normal
just for now I feel that I belong

and the rains came,….
bringing with them
the birth of a child
called Hope
