It's 5 years in a row for me & counting. It's been that long since I've been married ( flight attendant ) & I don't see the streak ending soon. It's so much easier now . I LOVE my wife !

No shows for me in 2010.............
Why no shows this year man?
Just taking another break....
that sounds cool man, Enjoy the new house my friend!!!
There will be more shows, and more tours.
Plus the fact, We just put a bid on a house, 10 days ago. So hopefully in a month or so, I will be cutting a check for $20K and moving into my new house. The I am going to go out, and spend another 4-5K on all sorts of fun stuff. Patio Furniture, Big screen T.V., and all sorts of other goodies.

Let them wash away
All those yesterdays
All those yesterdays
All those paper plates
I didn't want it to be a pissing contest either, I just thought it was unique and wondered who else had similar stretches
I remember the big letdown when you used to think about 'oh shit, it'll be another year or 2 before I can see 'em again'
i dont think you did start one - just saying these threads are fun as long as you dont get someone going "oh, you act like 8 is a big deal when I've been to 10 yaers in a row" or sometihng.
This thread is fun... and you're right. I remember i saw them in 95, 98, 00 and then 03-10... So those first 5 years of shows were few and far between!
Not me, too many holes, but it has been a nice ride.
96-10/2 Hartford my 1st PJ show. The golden days. Ticketmaster boycott, getting tickets was a challenge but reward was high.
98-yield tour- Pittsburgh and then no way in Cleveland,
00-camden and merriweather, later was a bit of a bummer since lead singer mother from opening band was in auto accident. Ed mentioned how a show like this is usually a long one but not tonight since they are all a bit down.
03-Bristow open with Can't Keep->Small Town-->Off He Goes, Also was at State College a great night indeed. Began the tour with the Mellon show in Pitt.
06- 5/12 Albany show is one fire, the return of RATS, then DC show to close out May.
08- Camden 1 my birthday they play my FAV. In Hiding. Then a few days later in DC
09- Philly 1. Great night Vitalogy rules the set list treated to Unthought.
10- Going to Bristow. Should be good the outside shows seem to give them more energy.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
ride"!

I've seen the band every year/tour from '03-'10 ...Riot Act, VFC, Philly '05, Avocado, Lolla, 'no-name '08', Backspacer, and this year...who else can say that?
gone are the days complaining they only tour every 2-3 years

Have had some PJ (or PJ-related) fix every year since 94 except for 2001. Hope they keep it up for a while longer. Winning the lottery would sure help with this addiction.
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
