I just listened to Vs for the first time in a little while and it got me remembering being out working on building sites and hearing Go on the radio 4 or 5 times a day. It was the same with the Ten singles and when Vitalogy was coming out the hype around it was huge. Also the Atlanta 94 show that was broadcast was a big hit over here. PJ should always have a place on the radio regardless of commercial success. Who plays them now because I never hear them? :?
Like a book among the many on a shelf...

Dublin 02 Arena - 22/6/10. Belfast Odyssey Arena - 23/6/10. London Hyde Park - 25/6/10. Berlin Wuhlheide - 30/6/10.

Being from RI, once WBCN went off the air, you pretty mucg said goodbye to any "non-single" PJ song on the radio. 92.9 plays some rarities such as I Got Shit, but that's pretty much it.
  • Q101 in chicago plays PJ a lot...I'e heard Alive, Black, Animal, Betterman, The Fixer, and Just Breathe all this week.

1019 RXP in new york plays a good amount of pearl jam...especially now that they're coming to the area. i've heard alive, black, dissident, glorified g, the fixer, just breathe, i got id, wishlist. q1043 in ny used to play them a lot as well...especially corduroy and dissident.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Yeah I've lived in Scranton, Orlando, and near Philly and I've heard all of these songs on the radio many times (except Wishlist). Yellow Ledbetter, Animal, and Given To Fly are in most alternative rock stations' rotation as well.

I'm surprised but my local radio station Q104.3 has been playing a lot of the Pearl Jam. Even 89.9 HalFM. It's great to hear @ the job sites. I guess the repeated AC/DC's Back In Black & Kim Mitchel's Rock And Roll Doota has taken some relax time off the air. Many day's they would play the same song by the same artist every hour of the day. It makes you want to get plugged into the Matrix & choke the DJ by the headphones to stop the madness.

The Radio Station here 96FM often plays them!...songs like DAUGHTER...BETTERMAN...The FIXER...JEREMY...sometimes EVEN FLOW and Sometimes ALIVE :)
  • XM Satellite radio plays PJ a lot. They play all the staples, plus the occasional Release or Immortality.
I've caught PJ version of I've Got a Feeling a few times.

Pittsburgh radio stations play them all the damn time. My husband is often very annoyed by my rule that we must listen whenever any PJ song is on the radio, regardless of what it is... :D

Vs. is a gem. I have been playing that in the auto for 2 weeks now. Not a bad song on the album. The diversity is deeper than ten.

From Ten to Yield they were really in a zone. I miss those days.

In Boston WAAF is really the only rock station now after BCN went off the air. The other day I heard Dissident on there which was surprising. Also at 3pm there is a Grunge Plunge where they play 2 grunge tracks in a row. Many times you hear a rare song. One day I heard the studio version of Crazy Mary. Another I heard Hail Hail. Sometimes you get some good ones. Now I am hearing them pumping PJ playing Boston in May during commercials.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

Sirius Satellite Radio plays them all the time...Lithium, The Spectrum, 90's on 9 and Alt Nation frequently play Pearl Jam. I've heard Amongst the Waves, Unthought Known and Force of Nature on Sirius and those songs have not even been released as singles yet.

As far as terrestrial radio...as stated above...WAAF in Boston plays Pearl Jam all the time. I have the station on at work and I hear them at least 4 times during my 8 hours at work. They mostly play Alive, Even Flow, Black, Betterman, Wishlist...but they have been playing The Fixer and Just Breather on a regular basis and occasionally I hear Corduroy or Rearviewmirror.
