Jazz Fest Performance - Other Shows???
So I saw that Jazz Fest has their schedule up and PJ is playing on Saturday at 5pm.
I've heard from other friends who have been to Jazz Fest a few things: 1) how absolutely awesome the fest is, 2) how the whole town basically has live music everywhere and in every bar during the Fest after the day ends, and 3) how its not entirely unheard of to head to a bar and have surprise performances from Jazz Fest bands, given how early the sets end (7pm scheduled end, 8-8:30pm at the latest).
My question to all you Jazz Fest vets or New Orleans residents is: IF Pearl Jam were to do a "surprise" small club show after the Jazz Fest set (I know I know I know), what's your best guess as to where it might be? Do we need to get Jack McDowell in town???
I don't at all expect this to happen, and even if it did, how could you plan to be in the right place anyway? But my GF and I are coming from St. Paul for Jazz Fest and have never been to New Orleans, so we haven't the slightest clue where the great music clubs are.
If nothing else, here's to wishful thinking...
