Behind the stage at MSG

Has anyone ever sat behind the stage in the 200 level at MSG?

I'm sitting in 215, which is right behind Matt....Wondering how the sound, view, etc... is?

Is it better than a 300 section seat at the other end of the building?

Thanks

  • I sat in section 415 Row B for the July 8, 2003 show at the Garden and it was unbelievable. It's like you are right on top of them. Ed will turn around and sing to you, there is a walkway around the stage that he will go on. If I can't get floor seats, this is the part of the stadium I always get. The stadium is so small, every seat is a great seat.

If you want to check it out, here is a link.

Actually I happened to sit in excactly 215 the second night of MSG in 2008.

Before the show I was kinda 'meh' about the location, however, those seats turned out to be really good! I mean you are pretty damn close to the band, much more than the nosebleed seats in the 400´s I had for the first night.
You get a quite unique insight of Matt´s work and overlooking the front crowd and the rest of Garden from that view is quite stunning, so don´t worry!
I would take those seats anytime again.
Unfortunately I can´t make it to the states this time around, but everybody have fun!

  • sitting behind the stage is great! it's the closest i've been (until i got row 8 through TM for mansfield 5 days later). they kinda rock out and move around a lot so it's not like you see their backs the entire night. the sound is great and there was so much energy the floor was bouncing. the back gets a lot of crap but honestly it's not as bad as you'd think. someone from section 5 of the floor actually wanted to trade seats with me.

  • the lower seats behind the stage are awesome imo. PJ has no light show so you aren't missing anything there and honestly who cares about staring at a bunch of 40 year old dudes for two hours anyway. You'll have a blast back there and you'll be able to see them walking out before everyone else in the arena. enjoy!

Best seats I had for Philly '09 I bought through Comcast and they were behind the stage. Everyone should experience a show at least once behind the stage... I'll take that over the back 1/2 of the floor anyday!
