Okay I've been listening to Black Rebel Motorcycle club for 4 or so years, gathered all their albums and really love them. Finally last night I saw them live, holy shit they were just as good if not better than their records present them.

Band of Skulls opened and they were not bad at all, the light show during BRMC was freaking great!!! It was also amazing to see that the both the bass and guitar player sing. Also on some songs the bass player plays an acoustic that has some kind of heavy chorus on it which still gives it a deep bass sound to it. I found the branching out as to how they used their instruments very interesting. I actually spent more time paying attention to that than listening to the songs at times. It also was $15 and completely worth that and more.

If they are pulling through your town and you haven't seen them live I highly suggest it!!!!

Everyone have a happy Wed. because the week is almost over!!!! Rock on!!! :)

  • Great band, even better live band. Seeing them this Saturday!

"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV

Not sure if I'd go that far, just a different type of live band. Pearl Jam is awesome live for what they do live...I guess BRMC has more of a show aspect with the lights and what not.

Also thanks for pointing out the "Other Music" section on the board.

I picked up their latest and I think its great. I kick myself that I passed on seeing them during the Howl tour and not it looks like they won't be playing anywhere near me this time around. When Howl came out they toured with KOL when they came through my town. What was I thinking? :?:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
    ride"!

Then why were they opening for STP last year?

Great band. They're one of my top 5 favorites after Pearl Jam and I'm seeing them in less than 2 weeks!

I love the new CD. "1:51," "Shadow's Keeper," and "EVOL" are highlights for me.

    bump!
did you see me? i saw you.
  • I had the pleasure of seeing them at this place in Asbury Park, NJ when all they had out was their first album. There was like 20 people in the place. It was incredible. Hoping to catch them on this tour
  • Saw them for the first time about a month ago in Las Vegas and they played for a little over 2 hours straight without stopping. I was completely blown away and kick myself in the ass for not seeing them in the past. I was just in awe of the bass player shredding like crazy. One of the few bands besides Pearl Jam that I would definitely travel to see live...
