Racism at the Obama Health Bill Ceremony

I watched the health bill ceremony and it was an unambiguous and flagrant example of racism. It is sad that even as this country elected its first non-white president there are still those who would seek to defame minorities in such a hateful manner. Hell, the entire audience was guilty. Didn't you notice it? Obama was getting a standing ovation for everything he said! Every time he completed a sentence the applause erupted. Applause for merely completing a senctence??? Clearly racist! What are your thoughts?

You're trying to say that Obama received more applause than normal because he's African-American? I suppose it's plausible, but I doubt it. I would imagine the people who supported the bill showed up and those who opposed it stayed home.

i think people were just elated that something got done. in referencing the usa today poll from starfall, the majority of those polled were happier than what the media and talk radio has been saying...i do not think that it was patronizing to obama, or that people were seriously clapping just a little bit harder because of his race...

They stood for Bush when he managed to say his words properly (and even sometimes when he made up words)!

Honestly, I don't know why anyone would be celebrating. The people wanted a public option and we didn't get it. I still have yet to figure out this administration.

It doesn't make sense to build a bridge halfway across the river, put a tax on the ferry, and call it a success.

they had to start here and get the main parts to take effect. they never would have had the votes for universal health care. its like when you build a house. you start with the foundation, put up the frame, do the wiring etc. its a step by step process. you can't just throw down a completed plastic green house like in the game Monopoly or something...
