so im at work listening to the MSG shows from 98, along with the Hartford 98, 96. Is it me or has Eddie calmed down a lot and embraced th3 crowed a lot more? Not being at the shows, im not sure if he was joking with everyone, but from more recient shows. He seems to laugh and joke more. In general he just sounds happier.

any thoughts?

They have definitely calm down alot. In my opinion Backspacer is my least favorite album. It doesn' t have the edge or angst. Were do you get those early shows

its not even the angst or edge i am talking about. Just teh way that EV addresses the people. it seems like he talked down to them a lot back then. now its more like the show is a party and all about having fun.

Like i said, i wasnt there, so im just going off of the recordings i have heard

Dude, I thought the same thing. He just seemed angry a lot.

    ITS EVALUTION BABY!!!!!!

That about sums it up. I could not agree more. That is the biggest thing that keeps me coming back for more. Being allowed to see how the band matures and like most of us as we age we begain to focus in on what is more important in our lives. Than the wide lens we had when we were younger!

I refer to those in front...
  • i think this overall more calmer attitude of the band is what led to some of the more "controversial" decisions. i think it's a nice, more mature change of pace than the angsty, whiney Gen X 90s crap.
