    The title of this thread should really read "Stone Gossard manipulates Josh Freese into writing/releasing an album so that he has an excuse to randomly send a personally handwritten letter."

    I guess that's too long for the subject line so I'll be forgiving. This time. ;)

    Josh Freese was an option for the band to replace Dave A back in 94/95 but things didn't exactly work out, and they've been friends for quite a while. Stone was on Josh's first cd in the late 90's (The Notorious One Man Orgy) and have been in similiar musical circles for a long stretch of time
