Bonnaroo 2008 Performance
Just listened to the boot and...HOLY SHIT!!! WHAT A FUCKING SHOW AND PERFORMANCE THAT WAS!! Whoever was at that show are the luckiest people! My mind is just blown away by All Along the Watchtower. The whole show in general is one of the greatest things I've heard live. I'm jealous of all of you who saw them at Bonnaroo. At least I got to see them in Hartford a couple weeks later. That I'll never forget for the rest of my life.
Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

Yeah man, it was a crazy unbelievable night. Flew in from NY on a whim, partied my ass off, saw MMJ play a sick show the night before. and then saw possibly one of the greatest performances I have ever witnessed.Out of the Blue and Into the Black................Uncle Neil Philly 08 here I come!!!!0

probably the largest crowd i ever saw at a PJ show. went on forever.0

One of the best nights of my life. Sometimes when I listen to "Release" from the bootleg, I can hardly tell it isn't the live version.
Hope to see PJ back at the Roo sometime in the next few years

It was an amazing show. The sky when Jack Johnson was playing (played right before Pearl Jam) was amazing. Clear evening with a few clouds.. bout 80 degrees.. VERY comfortable... it was a gorgeous night and then Pearl Jam took the stage and played what I think also is one of their best shows. Crowd participation was great... setlist was awesome... all in all, a perfect day...0

Such an unreal night. They started playing on June 14th and kept on playing until after midnight which means that as I turned 30 I was watching my favorite band for the last 17 years or so (My B-day is the 15th). Then as soon as PJ was done me and the wifey ran over to catch my second favorite band of all time, Sigur Ros, on another stage. Truely a magical night in so many ways. It's all about the music...

I was a vendor at a place called the "Jerky Joint" and as soon as J.Johnson was done I grabed a six pack from our cooler my hitter box and a hand full of shrooms and went on this awesome journey. Worked my way up to about 25th row dead f-ing center by the 3rd song in. One of my favorite shows (27 under my belt). One thing I got from that show was how much I hate that people that bring flags to a show. We get it...your from another country and your proud. But do you realize how many peoples view your blocking with it? I say F the flag bringers!!!! Who's with me?0

words cannot describe the magic that took place at Bonnaroo over those four days. A truly amazing lineup that delivered every single day.
Friday was amazing.. Les Claypool>The Raconteurs>Chris Rock>Metallica>My Morning Jacket>Disco Biscuits
gotta agree that MMJ probably takes the cake as best performance of the weekend...four hours...pouring rain...glow sticks and huge beach balls...Kirk Hammett sitting in for 'One Big Holiday'...f'ing crazy
Saturday was insane...such a huge crowd gathered at the Main Stage to watch the godfathers of grunge take the stage and rock Manchester Tennessee to its very core. I too was on the magical fungus and it made the experience even more amazing. i managed to work my way up to about 15th row (the 15th row AFTER the pit, so really it was like row 100 or whatever). just blown away by the performance...easily one of the top shows i have ever seen.Wachovia Center, Philadelphia - 10/3/05

I remember waiting up near the pen during the Jack Johnson set. we were all packed in like sardines (stone's side) and things were getting restless. - nobody was moving
Eddie vedder comes out. and for that 5 minutes with JJ and EV - everyone seemed to have all the breathing room they needed.
Then Eddie left. then more madnessLife has nothing to do with killing time.
So why be satisfied?0 -
