It's so funny you wrote this. My children's choices finally wore down to where I got the DVD delivered from Netflix yesterday. Stayed up to 1 AM watching it. Unbelievable quality! I am tired this AM but worth it.

Ya know- I saw them 14 times during the 06 tour and not once did I like them. Apparently most of the fans love them but I just couldnt get into it. Maybe they are better in the studio?

Matter of preference I guess but I think MMJ is one of the best new bands out there. They've made some really solid albums and are one of the best live bands on the planet. They're molded from the Pearl Jam model and I feel that they will be around for a very long time and do some great things for Rock'n'Roll.

That version of "A Quick One" is bad ass

So is that version of "It Makes No Difference" that Eddie did with them in New Jeresey or something in 2006

They definately did a nice job with this one.

    Of course nothing beats the Who's version . . . :D
Don't come closer or I'll have to go
  • MMJ was epic at bonnaroo. i just wish i would have heard this tune, with Ed showing up for guest vocals.

if you've seen them that many times and couldnt get into them, it ain't gonna happen. IMO their studio stuff isn't near as good as they are live. maybe they suck as an opener. never seen them open before

I played the MMJ/EV version for my brother in law who is a HUGE Who fan and his jaw hit the floor.

they are one of the best studio bands out there, they are one of the best bands out there, but i can't say they are better in the studio because i would argue that right now they are the best live band on the planet. anyway that's fine that you can't get into them. different people like different music, but when it comes to a band like this you have to at least appreciate their musicianship. a quick one on cornice is amazing........by the way, that's crazy you saw them 14 times on the 06 tour, especially considering that they weren't even the openers for half the tour. must have been an awesome summer.....although i'm surprised that you went in for the opener that many times if you didn't like them. figured you would've realized they weren't your thing after the first few times you saw them.............and on another note, an opening slot does this band no justice.

  • Great song.

Too bad like most Who covers,
Eddie can't help but fuck the lyrics up.

    Oh well.
It is one of their more complex lyrical pieces, i suppose.
    ???

    :D
