Sooo I bought a pair of tickets through the Ten Club for Cleveland on May 9th...Just found out today I have to work. I am coming from Detroit and Im working 7am-9pm...so their is NO WAY I can make it. I can though take the day off on May 6th for the Columbus Show.

I want to contact Ten Club to find out if I am out of luck. I have seen people requesting to trade. I do not know how that works though when you have to present ID at the show. Any ideas what options I have if any?!

I sometimes see people posting TRADES. How does that work, if at all?!

Typically it's trading one for one. Two people who might not have anyone to go with will "team up" with each other and get two shows out of it.

I often wonder... do we work to live... or live to work?
If the former... then, you should play hooky and go see Pearl Jam. That gig will add more to your life than another day at work.
If the latter... then, I cannot help you, Son.

You can pick up your tix anytime through the day of the show. So, you can go with ID, get them, and then sell/trade them to wheover you made the deal with later in the day.

    I might try that tomorrow
  • if you are not going to physically be near the location of the show you are looking to trade, you can contact the ten club, explain the situation, and have your tickets switched to be held under the person's name who is replacing you. this happened to me once a few tours ago, and it seemed like the club made an exception in order to ensure that the tickets i was relinquishing went to another fan club member. it worked out great, and i was able to collect the payment for the price at which i bought them through the club.

They stopped doing transfers years ago, I suspect from abuse. It doesn't hurt to ask though.

  • It doesn't hurt to ask. I don't know if they've changed policies in the last couple of years, but the same thing happened to me about 10 years ago (for the Binaural tour), and they did switch dates for me (I just went to a different city to see them).

    Worth a shot....

    Good Luck!

I am a medical resident and I work with all other doctors...but that just might work.

What sucks is that I am "on call" that day, which means it is the busiest day because I am admitting patients all day long. I am "on call" every 5 days and I knew there would be a 20% chance I would be "on call" when I bought the tickets. I debated back and forth May 6th or May 9th. But May 9th is my birthday and I rolled the dice. Dammit snake eyes! For me to switch a "call" day means I am going to have to repay someone maybe double or triple the workload...

Fuck it it's worth it...now I just have to beg any colleague willing to help me out.

    FINALLY RESOLVED!

So I am going to switch shifts with another colleague of mine. I will work on call from 7am - 9pm on Saturday, than round Sunday morning. I will hopefully be done and out of the hospital by noon. I will than go home, shower, change, pick up my fiance and should be on the road to Cleveland no later than 1:30pm. Should arrive by 4:00pm.

The worst part is I have to be back at work by 5:00am Monday! If I trusted my fiance's driving I could take a nap on the way back...but I wanna live! Fortunately Ive done enough 30 hour shifts at work that I can handle this rollercoaster weekend...all for the love of Pearl Jam!
