Well, as the title simply states, my friends and I are thinking on getting seats on the grass if there's a 2nd Mansfield show. Just to relax and listen to the PJ. I'm just wondering if anyone else is thinking on doing this?
Thanks! :D

The shows I've seen on the lawn have always been from the sides/ wings. The sound isn't the greatest. I have yet to see one from center stage. That'd be my best bet though.

I would never do lawn again at Tweeter. Last time was at WBCN River Rave and I couldn't see anything. I think they have new rules, too, where you can't bring a lawn chair. I think you can bring a blanket. You're screwed, though, if it rains.

the grass you sit on, or the kind you partake in ?

    :D

the lawns at NJs Garden State Arts Center / Holmdel Theatre are a bit hectic looking- i personally prefer a seat.

thankfully i got one for mansfield ( my first PJ-- Boston concert ) .

  • I really wasn't a fan of the lawn at all.
  • i haven't been up there since high school, but I don't think I'd want to be again. it's much better in the seats. at least you can see the show. watching it on the screen is kinda lame, it's not that far removed from staying home and watching a dvd.

There basically is no lawn now. It's about 30 from the back of the seats that used to be the lawn and the edge of the Tweeter.

I haven't been there since the change but my friend says there is basically nothing left.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

I remember it being smaller in 2003. Plus they added actual seats ON the lawn, so the standing room is just the space behind that.

I know some big pj fans who begged me for extra fan club seats in 03 because they had never been able to get better than the lawn and it sucked.

Alright, thanks folks. I'll talk to the group about the 2nd Mansfield show. I'm kinda thinkin that I don't want lawn anymore. But,... as an above user mentioned, let's hope the grass is good! ;)

There are not as many lawn seats as there used to be. In fact there isn't much grass either.

Ozzfest 2006 almost all of it was ripped out during Disturbed's set.

This may sound odd, but I have some of it growing in my back yard.

Dont do the lawn at Mansfield unless you are going to Dave Matthews and you are a 14 year old girl.
    The sound is horrible.
    You are a mile away.
The screens are impossible to see.
The stage is impossible to see.
There is no such thing as relaxing on the grass.
There will be so many drunk ass people talking loudly, singing way too loudly and running all over the place.

Just not my cup of tea
