    a friend and i are talking about this right now, neither of us understand this.

    and it's like i thought that song was written for a movie about a guy against greed and money, and beyond it being used for the soundtrack....to sell it for a show. am i the only one having a hard time reconciling this?

    We have no idea the details of this. Maybe Ed wasn't paid. Maybe he loves the show. Maybe he did it as a favor. Or maybe he got paid a shit ton, and if so, good for him, still love the song, love the man, love his band, couldn't care less his about intentions or profit.
