Pearl Jam on Facebook! Become a fan!

Just recently got an invite from a friend to join the Pearl Jam list of fans on facebook! Go and check it out if you have Facebook:

    didn't look like something 'official' (unlike the Myspace page)

    the fact that one of the first posts made by 'Pearl Jam' asked 'are they going to play Coachella?' the day before it was announced they weren't was kind of a giveaway ;)

    i thought those ilike pages were official though--kind of like having a myspace page.

    would never happen if it was official... or the Heath Ledger thread (here, the one started on the Porch was quickly moved to AET)

    and the fact there's NO actual music links (unlike many other bands I'm a 'fan' of there) is also a good pointer..you'd think that's the first thing they'd link, far ahead of posters!

    Something tells me that The White Stripes one is official. I'm not sure though, it just seems as if it is.

    they are official, the facebook pages (not profiles, groups, events..) are meant to be for bands/artists or businesses apparently, and not for fans (I guess groups can and do fill that function..there's quite a few PJ ones already! we made some :)).

    most bands seem to be on iLike but I know a few already having pages..they have more control over those I think...posting videos and whatever they want, just like you on your profile...but if you become a 'fan' they don't have access to your whole profile like if they were friends..only send you updates...I think..

    It's back. It's not like the person who created it is getting any money or anything. He/she is doing a great job I think. Updates & stuff. Keep up the good work. :)
