Maybe time...

The wolf's and my efforts to combat insomnia.....

Sleepless nights turn into never ending days.

And the days turn into weeks, which eventually dissolve the year.

And the ugliness transends all that ever was. Innocence lost in the moonlight.

And time is mine enemy because time is all that's left.
And time for those who are are lost
stands still

Even though the seconds fade
The minutes still disappear
The hours seem to be an endless hell.
Forever reaching, holding onto the pain.
I'd rather hurt than feel nothing.

You ask me of my future,
as if I could possibly know
I don't have a crystal ball,
but I bought myself a gun.

But even the metal is too bleek to reflect
The trigger too heavy to pull.
Where does that leave us now?
Stuck in a whirlwind of pure bliss and the most darkest of days
that frighten even death himself

So I smile and wipe my eye.
Knowing that even with all this pain I hold inside
There is one thing I can never do
I can never escape time.

Perhaps time doesn't want to escape me?
It knows that I don't live
Knows that I don't grow
Knows that I don't love
It has me trapped until I learn
Learn to let go

So if time must be
and so must I,
then maybe this is my time
maybe time to say goodbye...

Very powerful words, but I'm a little worried about you (are you o.k?.) That last paragragh was hard for me to read. I hope this is very good writing on your part and not something desperate. I'm sending lots of sunshine and happiness your way. Keep smiling :D

We just couldn't sleep. Just had a little fun. :D
That last paragraph was The wolf's, I don't believe in goodbyes- they are eternal.

Thanks for writing back, I was very concerned. I know what bad insomnia feels like - I have it to. I don't get it, I eat healthy, excersice, no caffeine and still cannot sleep. I refuse to take any meds for this. Well, I'm glad all is well. Take care.

  • "rather hurt than feel nothin...

    ... bought myself a gun

    ... frighten even death himself

... maybe it's my time... to say goodbye"

you both have written words that pierce ... and together... that's something

I tell myself, they all leave, so get the fuck out of here, but for me it's just dumb words on a dead wall, as they should be... ha ha

I just read this for the first time as a whole.

we wrote this at a point where I had been awake for 29 hours. In 30 minutes I will have hit the 85 hour mark without sleep.
What I'm getting at is that I'm having a bit of hard time focussing enough to really take it in as one solid piece of work.

Either way, it was fun writing with someone else. Her verse could completly take my next verse someplace I had not planned on taking it,...

    It was a good exercise.

    Thanks Jen.
    Peace, Love.

makes me think of some favorite words "bandaged hand in hand"
    no offense of course-
youth can be painful, we all feel it
best part is as you both say, to feel and to feel for each other

you are to me sir ;)
30's are still youth when you are in your 50's!
Lots of changes in 15/20 years.
My head was in such a different place then, now I'm just glad to still be breathing

Brace yourself. That will go down in history as the greatest disappointment of your life.
