Been listening nonstop for about two and a half weeks. Only got the leaked version because I paid for and preordered the mystery package on their website, talk about an amazing deal. All the songs are good not one bad track but I think the standouts are: I Am for Real, Naked, So Lonely, Kill Me Carolyne, and I Don't Even Care About the One I Love.

listened to it about 3x when it came out and i liked it but there is something keeping me from really liking this band. not sure what it is. but it is a very solid release.

Also preordered the mystery package. In The Dark is a great track also, but it seems like it's been out forever now.

Has yours arrived yet? I keep checking the tracking info on USPS and it's listed as still being in California (since the 17th).

same here...i knew some of their music, but never got into them, then saw them open for kings of leon and loved the show. usually that sparks a new level of interest for me, but when i revisited their music, it still wasn't taking hold. maybe some day...?

What'd you preorder: just the digital downloads, cd, vinyl, deluxe pack or mystery pack?

Well my vinyl, CD and keychain came today but no autographed poster or mystery item yet. Kinda wondering how they're even going to do the mystery items.

I was wondering about the mystery items also. I wonder why you didn't get the autographed poster. I haven't got home to check my mail yet. I am going to their show on 4/23, so a meet and greet would be cool. Hopefully the "mystery item" wasn't a waste of money.

I'm sure all 100 of them will be really cool one of the the things I love about The Whigs is how great they treat their fans. I'm going to the NYC and Philly shows, hoping they add some L.A. headlining shows for when I move out there next month. I was lucky the last time they came to NYC played at the Fillmore we were the first ones there (front and center on the rail) and got to talk to the guys before and after the show. Knowing we would probably get there early I brought my CD copy of Mission Control and got it signed.

So far the only thing I have received is the poster. I ordered the mystery pack. Did any of you get everything at once, or did it all come at different times. Shouldn't I have also received a cd, vinyl, keychain, and mystery item? I know I got an email about the mystery item, but what about the rest?

    Any info.

Spin's review wasn't the best either, but I guess I expected that also since the Whigs aren't Kings of Leon or Green Day.

Black Love and 1965 are brilliant, but I prefer my Dulli either in the Twilight or the Gutter. Doesn't get much better than that.

Seriously? Ever listened to Black Love start to finish? I mean really listened, has to be late at night...... one of the most stunningly brilliant, beautiful records ever made in my opinion. The lyrics are incredible, the playing is flawless....just an album jam-packed with hair-raising moments.
