This was my first in experience buying tickets through the ten club. I have been a member a little over a year. What is the deal with the lottery? When you go to pick up tickets are they like hey your lucky we just bumped you to 1st row. How does it work?

    thanks!
  • I was with a Ten Club friend at the 10/31 Spectrum show -- she scored the pair, not me. I'm pretty sure her number was in the 300xxx range (as is mine). We got second row in front of Mike, forget the exact numbers. They just hand you the tickets at the window and when you open the little envelope you get a nice little surprise. :D

Would be oh-so nice if one of us wins the lottery for MSG -- this year we both got tix to both shows! So excited, even if we don't win the lottery.
and to this day she's glided on, always home
but so far away, like a word misplaced
  • How does it work? You have to be a current ticket holder, right? Hrm...I don't think I've won. How would you know if you won? They send you an email or something?? :?:

You know when you look at your tickets after picking them up at Will Call. It will say row 1, 2, 9 or 10 in the frontmost section of the venue ;)

Does anybody know is the entire 1st, 2nd, 9th, and 10th row reserved for 10C lottery winners, is it just a few select seats, or does it vary between shows?

Thanks. Winning the lottery for a PJ concert would give me more satisifaction then winning the Megabucks lottery!!!!

I won for the first chicago show last year. Front row dead center and my number is 409XXX so it does happen. I think the way it works is Ten club receives all the tickets at their office and they somehow randomly choose the recipients for the row 1-2 and 9-10 tickets they all get put in envelopes with the ticket holders name on it and placed in alphabetic order with all the other tickets that are seniority based. The boxes are then shipped to the venue to be passed out to the recipients.

I have been lucky enough to win the lottery twice :D . First time was Tampa 08, 1st row right in front of Mike. Fuckn Incredible! 2nd time was last year in LA but because we were only aloud to buy for 1 of the 4 shows it was the pair I swapped for tickets the next night. I was sitting with a friend night 1 who had 4th row seats so I wasn't disappointed that my tickets were lottery 10th row winners. The people I swapped with were estatic 8-) sitting a few rows behind me. I went the next night with their tickets ( unfortunately they weren't lottery tickets ) & sold it to Heath, the Canadian who got mugged in Australia (healthy healing my friend) & had an ass kicking time. BTW my # is in the 300xxxs. You never know when your lucky day will come
Good thing my friend brought his camera to Tampa, I had binoculars

I was wondering if anyone had won the lottery twice. I was thinking maybe the 10C would only allow you to win the lottery once and then not allow you to win for a certain amount of shows. Maybe you can only win the lottery once per tour. That could be possible since you won in 08 & 09.

I will never ever forget picking up those tickets, my 102 row 2 right under Eddie for Halloween.
Husband stayed with the car so I had no one to verify with me what I was looking at.
After hoping so much I really just couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't, looked and looked and looked some more!
It must be a gas to be the person handing them out. The girl behind the glass she got all happy with me when I started screaming.
Then I floated around for the next 6 hours telling every soul I came into contact with, PJ fan or not, that I had won the lottery. I'm sure most thought it was the $$$ lottery.
And the concert, there really aren't words to describe, you know, it was just a life changing experience. Pearl Jam became real for me. And it was as though the last almost 20 years of life changed in meaning, made sense.
I think it was like this, Eddie's words "just another human being" . They became real men to me seeing and understanding how it all just fit, for them for me and we were all just sharing this unbelievable moment.
I hope you get to experience it too :D The lottery is a wonderful thing- brings so much hope to our PJ world when individuals really need it the most.
  • My club # is actually 416XXX

Won lottery at the Mansfield, MA June 28, 2008 show and I had an out-of-body experience like other's I've read through.

Second row got to "move up" to the boards - so it was essentially front row. Right in front of Mike & I got awesome shots - almost impossible, as the floor was moving and it was hard not to shake the entire time :D

It was the by far, hands down, the best concert going experiance of my lifetime!!

    All things are possible.

See you all at Jazz Festival & MSG2!!!

Hey - I must have been close to you...I was the nutjob who gave Mike my shirt. Never forget that night what a setlist, what a band!
  • Hey, my number is 400xxx, and I won the lottery at the Spectrum Night One (10/27/09). I was in the 2nd row, between Mike and Jeff. That was absolutely incredible. I also went to Spectrum Night Two, using a fellow 10-clubber's extra ticket, and HE won the lottery, 10th row Stone's side. So, even though only one of the nights involved MY particular 10-club number winning the lottery...I essentially won the lottery two nights in a row!!!
