I've had enough, said enough, felt enough. I'm fine, still in it.
Every presale I've taken part in (non-PJ) has had worse seats than the regular on-sale. They figure AMEX card holders etc. etc. will buy whatever in the pre-sale so their guaranteed to sell those seats.
Pretty shitty they did the same for the Fan Club presale.
When you see that... increasing wait times... it typically means someone is running that hacker routine (called the 'Hannah Montana' program because that was the onsale that brought it to light). The program alows the scalper(s) to submit multiple transactions without forfeiting their place in line. They can buy the maximum amount of tickets and are only limited by the number of credit card numbers they use... which they have hundreds of. 100 credit cards means 100 purchases of 2 tickets is 200 tickets. Think of it like this...
You are waiting in line at a box office to buy tickets... the guy in front of you that is at the window is buying the maximum number he can on one credit card. After that sale, instead of getting out of line, he stays at the window and breaks out a different card and buys another maximum set. He does this 100 times. Meanwhile, you are still in line behind him.
...
So, the next time you buy a scalped ticket... you can blame yourself for perpetuating the problem instead of complaining about scalpers. Scalpers only exist because of the buyers.

The limited number of presale tickets have sold out. Carry on with your day and try again tomorrow morning.

I think it is bro. I just got no results for the fifth time. Trying once more and then calling it a day. I'm exhausted.
I don't know where it was, but I saw information that suggested that because TicketMaster owns a share of one of the scalping sites, there is literally nothing preventing them from passing tickets on to that re-sale site before they go on sale to the general public.
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"
Our best hope is honestly that scalpers get so many tickets it drives down the price. I've seen it happen before. If your smart don't even think about buying anything off Stubhub or Ebay for at least 2 weeks. I almost guarantee you'll see prices fall over the next month before rising as the show gets closer. I think you'll see decent tickets in the $250 range if your smart about it.

Are you thinking of TicketsNow? Because that is a place where you can buy/sell tickets purchased from TicketMaster. They cancel out the existing ticket and issue a new one with a new scan code.
Maybe scalpers used this site... but their preferred method is to use EBay. That way, if the price is not to their liking, they can outbid everyone and retain the tickets to re-post at a later date.

so moving onto the public sale tomorrow, does anyone know if it's always better to choose "best available" rather than going for a certain section like the 100 or 200s? in theory it should right, but how does TM calculate the best seat?

You're right. They have their own stub-hub esque operation now......
I got shut out of both MSG presales! I haven't been able to get tix since '03 and counting if I don't get anything on the public on-sale saturday! I REFUSE to pay salpers ANY money to support their filthy business...and don't even get me started on ticketbastard!

Indeed.
Ideally, they would have made the password your 10C username and member number, but as already said, they didn't have enough time to do it.

They were $175 face value. That isn't that bad of a price.
