Bad news

Just found out one of my best friends has cancer. Its in his bowel lungs glands and liver, at the moment he's not sure about getting chemotherapy . He's a huge music fan and was the one who introduced me to the joys of live music. He averages 50+ gigs a year and is due to come to Belfast with us to see PJ. He saw them in our home city back in 92 and teases us about it all the time! Please keep him in your thoughts and hope that whatever course of action he takes that he's still well enough to make the trip in June.

    my uncle just underwent intensive chemo and it has really taken it's toll on him.

    Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and positive energy! There can't be too much positivity directed towards him at the minute! Dimitris I hope you're right!l He's so young and really needs to keep rocking well into his old age!

    Wishing your friend the best ,it's sickening to realize that every person i know has been affected by this disease either personally or knows someone who has had some form of it ,this world will never ever be Cancer free ...I hope it goes well for him ...

    Thanks for the wishes everyone!

    A bit of an update - he's decided to fight! It'll be a tough battle but everyone's keeping a positive outlook and looking to give him every possible support and encouragement! :D

    As I said he's also a huge PJ fan and is due to come along to Belfast with us in and June (seeing them for the first time back in '92 in our home town and as far as I'm aware, only missing out on 1 UK tour leg since). I'd love to get some kind of meet and greet type thing with the band sorted for the PJ gig to give him an extra boost and motivation to get through this! I'll be writing to the 10c about this soon to see if anything could be sorted, but if anyone has any other ideas please let me know!

    Chemo starts soon - hoping for a mircale!

    My thought and good wishes heading your way...and miracles can happen.
    A friend of mine was given 3 months to live 8 years ago, and whilst right now he is very poorly, he has seen his children grow and experienced times with them he never thought he would. He's accepted any treatments they've offered him and decided he wanted more time, I think his determination to extend his life has helped!
