How do you use the password for TM? (Please help)

I know this is stupid, but I have never used a presale password - how does it work? Thanks

    It will ask for it when you purchase the tickets on TM

    when you go to buy the tickets on ticketmaster, the first page where you use the drop down options to buy the tickets, they have a box available to put the password in when tickets become available for purchase.
