I really don't get why this show seems to not get the attention it should when the 08 tour is talked about. This show really had it all! The energy from the band, the energy from the crowd, great interaction between band and crowd (WMA and Footsteps played by request, Eddie loved the crowd) , an amazing setlist, and an intimate venue! I don't understand why people don't talk about this show like they should. It's very much overlooked. Can anybody explain this to me?

I wasn't there, but based on set list alone I would put it #3 right behind 'Roo and Hartford.

  • Unfortunately, I was not able to make a show during the 08 tour. However, b/c the boots were so bad quality-wise, this tour does not get much attention from me.
  • Best PJ show musically for me in 2008. Setlist, crowd and band all great.
    We went to:
    Columbia
    Hartford
    2x Mansfield
    EV Milwaukee
    All fun that's for sure.
    Hold On
  • 3 hours of my favorite band, the show was awsome, the crowd was great, what else could you ask for! The columbia show has been the best show that I have seen. Hope they come back soon.

I guess I mean recently. I know that it was talked about a bit in June. Especially before the Hartford show. I just mean that in threads now Hartford definately gets the most attention. I could be wrong though. Merry Christmas!

The only bad thing I've come across about it is the boot. The crowd seems so quiet in the boot, while in actuality I couldn't hear myself think it was so loud. It seems to be hit or miss with bootlegs in that regard.

More board members went to the Northwest shows. That is why Columbia isn't talked about more. There is a bias to the NW.
  • Yeah, Columbia was a great show; from pre-show at the Flying Saucer to the last encore! It was even cool to see Ed get frustrated with his guitar being out of tune, then blame it on being hung over from hanging out with KOL the night before. The crowd was great, especially during Elderly Woman.

  • definitely my favorite of the tour. one of the more special shows in recent years.

Certainly better than both MSGs combined setlist-wise. The band knew they had a lot of making up to do and they fucking DELIVERED!!!

from the purely subjective pov of my own experience:
    1. MSG 2
    2. Columbia
    3. Hartford (great setlist but low energy)
