Yeah, I would say no problem on that one. Just no tripods or telescopic lenses or anything like that. You can have all the super-pixelated grainy videos/pics you want.

I don't think they really want people filming on their phones (or maybe it's a venue specific thing) - but of course many people do it and get away with it.
At the Toronto show last year, I kept getting the evil eye from security everytime I held my phone up . . . so I wasn't able to film much at all (not that I miss the grainy quality and terrible audio). Plus, I was near the aisle. if you are closer to the middle of the row, away from security, it's a bit easier.
I'd just let those with HD point and shoots take care of filming and posting online. If you only have your crappy quality cellphone, just put it in your pocket, sit back, and enjoy the show.

I think it would be unrealistic for them to prevent thousands of people from being a phone with them. I am sure you will see tons of people taking pics and vids with their cell phones/smart phones. Besides, you are not going to get professional results from cameras in the majority of current cell phones which is probably why they don't care.

If I remember correctly it was 03 MSG 2, and he called (or tried to call) Johnny Ramone to have all of us (the audience) say Happy Birthday into the phone, but I think he didn't pick up. Anyone else remember this?
