Kings of Leon's new fashion line?

Um...what? :?
http://www.spin.com/articles/sneak-peek ... shion-line
Kings of Leon fans can now wear jeans just as skin-tight as the Followills themselves! But there's one problem: you might have to take out a second mortgage on your home to afford 'em.
SPIN's Band of the Year have created trendy new fashion line, KOL x S2A, via the Paris-based company Surface to Air. Their 12-piece collection just hit stores in Europe, and will arrive in the U.S. on Jan. 25.
Visit Vogue UK for a sneak peek -- and prepare to open your wallet wide: a black bomber jacket runs about $1185; a t-shirt $114; skinny jeans $225; black leather ankle boots $578; flat-brimmed fedora $267; flannels shirts $180; a belt $200; and a bandana $104.
Style doesn't come cheap, people!
The KOL x S2A collection will be available at fine men's clothing stores, including Barneys New York and online retailer Gargyle.
Just days after the collection hits racks, the Kings will attend the 52nd annual Grammy Awards ceremony -- and it's safe to say they'll arrive in style. The Followills are nominated for four awards: Best Rock Song, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
In other KOL news, drummer Nathan Followill -- who married his longtime girlfriend, singer/songwriter Jessie Baylin, in November -- said the boys are working on tracks for a new album, which sound like a mix of Radiohead, Thin Lizzy, and the Band. A remix album featuring Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Mark Ronson, and more is also in the works.

"what a long, strange trip it's been"
Emo hillbilly faggots? Does that even make sense? I mean some genres cross-pollinate better than others...

HOLY F••K. I had no idea KOL was a boy-band. They are now officially equal to or greater than NKOTB. Which KOL "Action Doll" will you buy? I bet they will all come with kung-fu Wank-tion grip. I am ejecting them from the iPod, deleting them from the iTunes, and writing a strongly worded letter requesting my wasted time and money be returned. Sorry, KOL, it's time we saw other people.
But I tell you guys something. I can't wait for the MMJ slip-n-slide to come out this summer!
They've also never put out a remix album with Justin Timberlake...*shudder*

ill stick with my $3.50 flannels from Goodwill
Personally I think they used to be very good. Their first few albums were interesting, dynamic, and unlike anyone else making music right now. They were some raw, gritty hillbillies who made music because they liked making music. I could always tell that Caleb really meant and was passionate about what he was singing, unlike a lot of other artists that are popular now. Then they got huge, and instead of doing what Pearl Jam did when they got huge, they let it go to their heads. Now they sell jackets for $1185. And really...are people seriously going to buy that?

aaaahhh....I'm glad someone called that one out, I knew there was a reason I felt this vague sense of irony while reading it. whoa! I almost typed 'whilst reading that'. woulda been SO gay.
My initial reaction? lame! like....holy sellout lame!
Second reaction? meh...who gives a shit, really? Do KOL promote themselves as 'true defenders of the crowd'?
Third reaction? who gives a shit what they promote themselves as, THAT IS NOT FUCKING ROCK N ROLL
Fourth reaction? I wonder how many PJ fans would spend that kind of money on this shit as COLLECTOR items, not just to look like them? Probably a LOT (while bitching about it the whole time).
Fifth reaction? That's exactly why it's so lame they're doing this - they have to know that some of their biggest fans will WAY over-stretch on this crap.
My final, Sixth reaction? Darwin wins again!
how can a band that was so good early on, become what these guys are now?
its crazy and disappointing.
Who gives a shit? It's their money. I just wanna hear their next album.
8/7/08, 6/9/09
How many of you fucking hypocrites still listen to Soundgarden after Cornell recorded with Timbaland?
You do realise that just because KOL are putting out a clothing range doesn't mean you have to buy it? More power to them if they wanna pull a move like that. They may even have some cool gear. I can't say I'd pay prices like that myself for t-shirts and bandana's but to each their own.
I still really dig KOL's music and will for the conceivable future cos (prepare yourselves now ) I like the
You think they are the only band to ever sell out??
