Is this where the $200,000 Pearl Jam donation to Haiti is coming from?? Is it from the fans or was it from their bank accounts directly?? Some of the venues hold 19,000 people so that's $38,000 per large show and $20,000-$30,0000 for smaller shows....just curious...

i dunno but I think its great. I buy tickets with ticketmaster and pay a 8 dollar service fee and a 10 dollar venue fee and a 5 dollar parking fee or some crap (even though you pay for parking at the venue)

Loved seeing these tickets...2.50 or something service or venue fee...2.00 charity donation.

Yeah, but I like to pick my own charities. They aren't even telling us where it is going. I would rather Pearl Jam give something to the charities I support rather than visa versa. They could have said "take $2.50 off the price of your ticket if you show proof of donation to a charity of your choice."

I don't think we should be forced to donate $2 to a charity that we are not even aware of. We should have the option to donate in my opinion.

haha, good...then buy your tickets from ticketmaster and your 2 dollar charity donation is optional....(and not included)

You aren't forced to support haiti through pearl jam (or whoever they decide to help), ticketmaster makes out like bandits, and its easier for me to get my 10c tickets.

    everyone wins!

I'm fine with a charity contribution, although it would be awesome if they had like 10 charities you could choose from as you went through checkout.

But that's not worth anothrer step in the checkout process after this week :)

Tell that to Ticketmaster where we are charged 2 dollars to print out our own ticket's @ home using our own ink & paper. Does that make any sense? HELL NO!!!

I'm surprised it's only 2 bucks for donations. It should be more!

Haiti is not from this $2.

This $2 in the past has always gone to local charities.

You have an option. If you don't want to donate, don't buy tickets.

Really? people are spending $150 on tickets and complaining about a $2 donation to charity? Really?

People will complain about anything on here...give it a rest.

Seriously, huh? 2 bucks... complaining about 2 bucks?

In 1994, when the Del Mar Fairgrounds and the North County Sheriffs thought we were going to burn down the place... they cancelled the gig.
The re-scheduled gig didn't have the added cost that the Fairgrounds had charged us. Eddie said that instead of going through the hassles of getting our 5 bucks back... he said they'd donate it to the SurfRiders Foundation which goes to cleaning up the shoreline. No prob.

There was a list in 2006 for each city and the charity it went to. I think it may still be on the PJ home page or tour page somewhere.

And the thing is... the 2 bucks is definately going to someone who needs the 2 bucks a hell of a lot more than the bitches complaining about it, right?
