The Lizzie Alive Surfboard Auction Mark Ii

Hi all
Many would remember that last year I had an auction of a custom shaped surfboard made by Eds mate Mark Richards and signed by Ed on the night of the Newcastle ( australia) 06 show 19-11-06. I was able to raise $1550 australian. a great effort. This money went to Cystic Fibrosis charities.
AND ITS HAPPENING AGAIN
What many may not know is that the board was purchased by the Quiksilver Foundation, this is the charitable side of the Quiksilver surf company. They returned the board to me and also got many more signatures on it at the Quiksilver pro on the Gold Coast ( Queensland Australia).
World Champions Kelly slater ( 9 times W/C) and Mick Fanning ( 2007 W/C)and many more inclusing Amos Donahue, rebbecca Woods and many more have taken the time to sign the board.
Im about to auction the baord yet again On Ebay from the 19th to the 26th of this month ( November). this time I have ticked the International button so my O/S freinds can participate.
The moneys raised again will go to Cystic Fybrosis Organisations

Great cause!!
I intended to auction it earlier but a new very busy job has swallowed up my year, Lizzie also had a bit of a rough patch but with some pretty hardcore meds she is back going strong.
As for Ebay, I might have to open up an account! Cause I too might be auctioning something sweet the next few day's. All money going to chairty!

I hope your own auction goes well Demitrios, and yes It is truly wonderful to help, especially when those your helping were the ones who helped you greatly when you needed it the most.
When lizzie was diagnosed with Cystic fibrosis it was like being hit by a truck- looking into the headlights not knowing which way to go. The people at CFNSW helped greatly they provided physio beds, Nebuliser machines support with social workers and help with visiting physiotherapists. The team at John Hunter hospital gave us the skills and the confidence to face our task,
another thing that feels great is the help and support that you get from complete strangers who want to help. Last year quite a few from here donated and supported my quest. I felt the love so much and it brought tears to my eyes. a really wonderfull time.

the amount of support through things like bumps in the pit, to forwarding on emails. to people donating to CFNSW or bidding on the board.
To a couple of blokes who didnt know me from a bar of soap inviting me and lizzie to a bbq and offering all the help they could muster.
Im a pretty skeptical guy, pretty negative in a lot of respects. well this has turned a lot of my thoughts completely around.
When mark and Ed got this ball rolling I wrote them a card of thanks. I said that my 2 guiding lights that have lead me from a very very dark place was surfing and the music of pearl Jam. For those two things to now give me the ability to help my daughter was the greatest gift anyone could give.
but it didnt stop with them, so many have done so much.
Thats all the karma I need

My only concern is that with no Pearl Jam in the title of the auction it might not reach those people that dont come to the boards.
Its still at a great price though, $1,700 more to the CFNSW is a great result so far!

lizzie had a great day yesterday. she got a trophy for ballet and then a certificate for most improved at little athletics. she thinks she's pretty good today

I was actually thinking today that I would rather a member of the pit( or life wasted ) win the auction for the board then a collector. this community of jammers are wonderfull people and after all this is the oficial home of the band.
what ever th board makes is a wonderful thing. the support given is a wonderful thing
