Another Presale Improvement Suggestion...

I'm sure this isn't going to be the most popular option here but they should consider limiting the 10C presales to one pair per member as they have done in the past. I can assure you that 99% of the people who got tics for MSG-1 also tried for MSG-2 (myself included). Think about how much less volume there would have been on the site if all of the people who were successful for night 1 weren't able to try for night 2. I know some will say that its survival of the fittest etc etc but the goal here should be for everyone to attend at least 1 show and IMO people going to more than 1 show while others are shut-out doesn't seem fair and this is coming from someone who was lucky enough to get both nights for MSG yesterday.

good idea but would never happne.

you cant limit purchases on a tour..if someone has the $$ and wants to hit every stop on the tour then why shouldnt they be able to?

The limit only applies to the 10C presales. People can go to as many shows as they want via the public sales.

I'm gonna guess that you're a relatively new member of the club. Things werent always as they are now.
And so you see, I have come to doubt

    I stand alone without beliefs

Other than New York, Philly and Boston there isn't a problem getting tickets for any other city. The system is fine. When you have 12,000 tickets for a huge attraction like MSG that 200,000 people are trying to attend, things get slow, even on ticketmaster. Will this whining end soon please. You had about a 5-10% chance of getting tickets in the first place. It's just the way it is and every other venue other than those 3 cities everything is fine. Give it up already.

If you would stop crying you would realize there are numerous way to still get in. Public sale on ticketmaster, Stubhub and ebay.

Because other people with money who want to go to maybe 1 show all tour are being shut out by people going to every show on the tour. Its not like the TC will lose money, all the tickets will still sell out for the NE, they will just sell to a wider array of people. If they dont sell out, then thats when people should be allowed to attend a 2nd show and so on. But for some people to be lucky and get through for 5 shows while others were shut out of every show they tried for doesnt seem to be the fairest set up possible, and that should be the goal, fairest possible.
  • For those of us who got hosed yesterday, anyone know the public onsale info? Ticketmaster? Time?
I thought i saw some where that it will be Saturday morning at 9am.

Good point Mortality. Maybe the answer is that they invoke the two ticket rule for the first 24 hours of each on sale date and after that its a free for all.

I agree with you that the fairest possible option should prevail. At the end of the day we are all here because of the music and to allow some folks to get shut out unnecessarily just doesn't sit well with me. I'm pretty sure Ed and Co would agree as well.

I'll tell you what I am a little disappointed about, and that's the first come first serve when it comes to seats. I thougt it was really great when the longer you were a member the better seats you got.....I know it doesn't help in getting through..but if you do get through and you are a TC member from the beginning, then that's pretty fair......I'm trying for Hartford tonight..and after reading all he comments about NY...I'm concerened to say the least...I haven't missed a Pearl jam tour since No Code.....10c has always come through...we'll see...and another thing....I've read seveal comments trashing Eddie.....regardless I think the band and their management has done a great job over the years and they do all they can to be fair to 10c members....thanks for letting me rant

I think you're missing the point. People aren't upset about the amount of tickets available. People are upset because it took so long to find out. In all the other years of selling online, high demand shows were sold out within an hour or so, not 4-6 hours (or whatever it was).

I don't think I am missing the point at all SkeeterB.

Less people on the site=less traffic=people finding out sooner whether or not they got tickets.

    Its all interrelated.

Maybe a way to control traffic would be to have people log in at certain hours depending on fanclub number. 0-150,000 at 4pm. 150,001-300,000 at 5pm, etc.
