    dear god no,

do not go to the winking lizard. That place is a tourist hotspot, and it's over-rated.

The Clevelander is across the street, not a bad place. The Boneyard is right down the road as well, now that is a good bar. Or check out the Blind Pig, decent bar. IF you like Sushi go to Sushi Rock, it's like 4 blocks from the winking lizard, and right next to the Blind Pig, if that is where you start. Great sushi. If you want some of the best food in Cleveland, have your hotel shuttle take you to Sokolowski's University Inn. You will not forget that meal. Unreal, Check out the CIty Center, it's a nice mall, and it has a good selection of stores even if you aren't looking to buy anything.

Yeah, I suppose the Winking Lizard is a tourist hotspot. . . and I'm from Buffalo, not Cleveland.

my son is 26. He goes to all the bars and restaurants on west 6th street; the warehouse district. According to him that's the place to go. I like Fat Fish Blues.

Thanks for the replies so far. Keep 'em coming.

A ball game would be great, especially the Tigers, but the buddy of mine thats coming along isn't a baseball fan..

Any suggestions no where to stay, thats not too expensive? hopefully kinda close to decent bars, rock hall of fame and venue (close to the venue isn't as big a deal, planning on driving to the show, then heading for home directly after.)

if you stay anywhere in Downtown you are close to everything, especially if you asre driving yourself. You can basically walk from your hotel. I think most if not all the Hotels in and near Downtown aren't too highly priced.i only go for football games so i'm sure they jack them up for those weekends, so you should be able to get a good deal, especially if you book now. i know the holiday inn is good, i've stayed there plenty of times. it's a 30 sec drive to the RRHOF, and a 12 min walk to the Flats. Not sure if you've ever been to Cleveland, but it's alot nicer than most people will tend to say. trust me.

I am coming directly from the Indy show, and will be there Sat. and Sun. night. I got a room at the DoubleTree downtown for 100 a night with taxes and everything. Says its right next to rock hall of fame.

Also looking for somewhere to have some beers Sat. night and Sunday.
I am lost, I'm no guide, but I'm by your side
