No more 10Club tickets. Get rid of them. Sell everything from Ticketmaster or Live Nation.
Close the forums down for good and if you want to know whats going on with PJ, sign up for twitter.

No more bitching and moaning. Problem solved

Peace

I'd LOVE if Pearl Jam went the Phish route. No fan club. Thus no expectations. Add a week-long ticketing period, and allocate them randomly.

I have a better idea either fix the problem or don't read the board when tix go on sale.

  • To many people using multiple computers = bottle neck

    What did the 10C say . . .

    • DO NOT LOGIN USING MULTIPLE COMPUTERS!!!!! This creates a bottle neck of web traffic which can result in site failure and loss of ticket order. We can not stress this one enough.

We can not stress this one enough. We can not stress this one enough. We can not stress this one enough.

People who got shut out should be mad at people like "ssdr18".

"two computers up and 3 browsers"

    Sad fact . . . . a lot of 10C members logon using multiple computers . . . .

Their are also a lot of 10C members that are scam artists . . . multiple memberships (brother, sister, uncle, etc) . . . having 10C tickets to a show but trying upgrade their location by saying they don't have 10C tickets. There is a group of gals that always find some willing partner to split a pair of 10C tickets in a better location than their own 10C seats. I just have to laugh at these people . . . pathetic.

I know a 10C member in Florida that works in an IT department and uses his staff to run 6 computers with 3 memberships (himself, mom, and brother) to buy tickets to NYC shows.

There is a segment of 10C members that are kind of slimy.

I am confused by all of this negative banter as well. Although it isn't ideal, it is very easy to secure tickets amoungst other 10C members. I decided to go to the Seattle shows last year AFTER the 10C sale and had multiple offers for shared tickets by simply posting a request in the shared ticket thread. Also, Ticketmaster still does the ticket drop in every market I have noticed, so as long as you watch it somewhat closely you actually stand a strong chance at scoring BETTER tickets than 10C can sometimes offer you.

exactly. people whine and cry and bitch and moan but you know what, there has never been a tour where there isn't someone offering a spare or where ticketmaster doesn't have tickets days before the concert or whatever. if people had the foresight to just try for an hour and go "oh well i could just get a spare later", they wouldn't be crying so much that they wasted 7 hours.

I've done this when I've attended shows in the states. What's wrong with making friends from all over the place so we can share amongst ourselves?

4 Philly shows. Pretty much all the others who attended all 4 nights ended up staying in the same spot. I moved from night to night. If anyone else had a problem about it, no one ever approached me to say that this was wrong, and it wasn't exactly hard to spot me from one night to the next as anyone who saw me would testify.

If I used my own number to get tix, I'd be up in the 200, 300s.

    *nods sadly in agreement*

Funny how some people accuse 10c of "doing nothing to improve this system" when they did try. NO system is perfect, period... it's the people who do not respect out of their own selfishness and looking out only for themselves that contributed to the problem. Mind you, I am aware of the outer factors - limited resources compared to say, TM/LN, and how the venues operate that force 10c to operate the way they do... blah blah blah....

Whatever.... I'm not saying people shouldn't bitch and still offer suggestions for improvements because there WILL always be room for improvement - which 10c has been willing to listen as proven if one took time to dig up the history on the board. :P

And no.. I'm not going to any PJ shows so nobody can tell me I'm kissing 10c's ass!

A fan club that makes sure ALL the good seats end up in the hands of die-hards, and aren't scalped, and fights to keep as many tickets out of the hands of Ticketmaster as possible.

    Yeah, let's definitely disband it.
