PJ should strongly consider playing Stadiums in the NE. This isn't a complaint thread. I got my MSG tickets. But a lot of people didn't. It seems elementary to me that they need to play more shows or start playing stadiums. Especially with all the people who travel on top of all the local fans. Either play MSG for 5 nights or lets book Giants Stadium allready.

2 shows in and around NY is obviously no where near enough. Especially with no Jersey or Philly shows this time.

  • I feel like if Pearl Jam booked five dates for MSG, the same people would try for all five nights. There would still be all sorts of bitching. Perhaps even more since people got shut out of 5 shows instead of 2.

But yes I'm a little interested as to what a Pearl Jam show would be like at a bigger stadium like the new Jets stadium. I think it would be a completely different experience.

I hate stadium shows. Plus I don't think pearl jam could sell out an 80,000 person venue. I would also rather pay for multiple shows, even through ticketmaster, then have them only play one.

    Just my opinion though.

  • There is a big, big difference between an arena and a stadium show. My guess is the public tickets will be available for a few days. I don't think PJ can sell out a stadium show unless it was some sort of "farewell" concert.

Yeah, I don't think I would like to see them in a stadium - having to watch the big screen to make sure the microscopic people onstage are actually PJ...

I also think a lot is lost when you go from a place like the garden to a stadium. Case and point was U2's last tour which paled in comparison to the previous tours.

    no way

its the same people trying to get in everytime. stadium show would suck. i say they only do club shows from now on 8-)
  • Well a lot of the same people would try for all 5 shows but not everyone can afford that so.. cost alone should take care of some of that.
  • Maybe they should do weekly shows in Vegas all year round, it works for Barry Manillow and Cher

It looks like I have to go away from the boards for a few weeks until all the whining stops. They aren't going to play stadiums because stadium shows blow. Just go to CT, its an hour from NYC.
