For those of you wondering how many tickets were available for todays MSG presale, here are some numbers from the June 24 & 25 Pearl Jam shows played in 2008. Most likely these are close to what was available today. I know this does not make it any better for those who did not get tickets but hopefully it will give you an idea as to how many they get. Remember they did offer a presale from ticketmaster before the public onsale for the shows in 2008 at the Garden, so hopefully they will be able to offer that this time around as well. For each night the fanclub got about 30% of the venue.

June 24th 2008 Capacity 18559 Ticket Price $72.50
Fan Club Presale Tickets 3510 (1755 pairs of tickets)

exactly. i remember when this happened. chances are, they'll try to do the same thing this time around. then everyone will be happy...until they see that they aren't on the floor or in the first row.

Good point. Yet they will. :|
  • So basically it took aprox. 4 hours to sell aprox. 1755 pairs of tickets today? 4 hours in 2010? That explains it. The 10 club is using Fred Flintstone's computer.
  • that is my biggest beef, update the fuckin server. it shouldnt take 4 hours to tell us it sold out, if the server was faster it be better, id rather see the show sell out in hour not as much bitching, as 4 hours of clickinga nd praying that is brutal

i got night 1, missed night 2. and after it all felt like throwing my computer out the window into the swimming pool. click click 10,000x drove me crazy

People say 'update the server' like that's the answer. It's not. The server is fine, it is software related.

Its necessarily the server its managing the server or multiple of servers. The goods section or the check out section should be on seperate servers to control the traffic.

The presale was how I got tix for 2008. I was thrilled that they did this as I couldn't get anything for those two shows. Was lucky to get 5/20 yesterday (still no e-mail confirmation yet, but it's in my history and they took my $ so I think i'm good). Wasn't so lucky for 5/21.

so last time around none of the 10C fanclub seats were in the 200,300, or 400 levels?

    That's encouraging!

On the touringfans site, it looks like many were. But those could have been from the Ticketmaster presale I guess.

the data is from msg ticket audit done after the shows were played. I know people who have access to this information and I just posted it for everyone to see. I could give a lot more data if you wanted it like tickets for the radio stations comp tickets msg ticket holds etc but I just figured the numbers that everyone cares about are related to fanclub seats.

    Thanks

Your right I should include the fact that ticketmaster decided not to give the other 11000 seats that had and sold them to potential scalpers keeping them out of the hands of people who got shut out.

I second that. I'm fascinated by the politics of tickets.

If what you said is right, do you think that means that the people who secured tickets yesterday through the fanclub presale will get good seats? It looks like no one from 2008 got anything worse than 100 level.
