My Simple Tickets "Solution"
Here's an idea that is exceptionally simple. Don't send out an email when a tour is announced. Just post it on the site. The biggest fans (who are always checking out all things PJ related; who are always online; who are always on the forums, etc), they will always know and be there. Many of the 10C members who are still very great and loyal fans but maybe not as rabid of fans anymore, might miss out. Maybe more people would come by the website on a more frequent basis and PJ could make money off of ads since their would be more traffic volume.
I dont mean this in a snotty way. In fact, I would probably miss tickets more often than not because I'm not always on here. I would have missed out on MSG because honestly I've been pretty busy with work had it not been for that email. But, oh well, there are huger fans than me, as much as I love Pearl Jam. I went to a Philly show and the guy next to me knew all the words to Outta My Mind. WTF, Eddie didn't even know the f'in words! For what its worth, I got tix to both shows... Kinda feel I deserve them cuz I drove to my university on spring break to benefit from the T1 or T3 or whatever crazy internet connection they have there and it sucked being their all day on vacation lol but oh well it was worth the bandwidth. Maybe they could sell half the dates without an announcement and then the 2nd half with an email announcement. But that would give a hugely increased chance to reward the hugest fans.

Now quit your day job... god, its not that hard.
In fact they should sort seats by board usage to IP addresses...
but....but....i have the verizon wireless broadband access...so i have a new IP address each time i connect.....that doesn't help me! screw you 10C for making my seats so horrible!
