I was reading a book in a shop of the 1001 best songs of all time. And there was alive in it. I was reading it and what Eddie had to say and I can't remember if it is a direct quote from Eddie or just in the book saying that Alive was the first part of a trilogy.

Followed by Once and then footsteps. They said that alive was the kid getting fucked up, once- the kid turning into a serial killer, and footsteps was about the guy on death row.

I didn't realise this, Thoughts?

I was always surprised at how dark a song Alive actually is but it makes sense when you take it in context with the rest of the Trilogy.
I smile, but who am I kidding...
