Question re: Ice Bowl - Alpine Valley 10/8/00

I attended the show that memorable night and it was a complete (arctic) blast. One question I always had about that show was whether PJ ever sold a poster for it. I have not been able to find it in any archives and am pretty sure none were sold at the venue that night.

Can anyone confirm or deny? Any information you have would be helpful. That is the last poster needed to complete my collection.

Thanks!

I was at the show as well and I do remember a poster being sold, I know I will remember it when I see it but cant quite recall anything distinctly about it, I'll see if I can find an image of it and post it.

there is nothing on expressobeans, IF they made a poster it would be there. So I'm going with NO, there was not an Alpine 00 poster.

Also, I was there and dont remember seeing one.

I've been at every Alpine show since 98. That being said, I may have the wrong show. Was it the black and orange poster with what looked like bubbles on it? Or was this a different year?

That's the 03 poster. I didn't go to the Ice Bowl so I couldn't tell ya if they had one then.

I was too cold to notice a poster I guess. My mistake.

There was no poster at Alpine 00. They were few and far between for that tour. Chicago (among all the other midwest cities that tour) didnt even have one at the show. A company called Missing Link (which was conspicuously very Ames-ish) put out 3 that were mail-order only after the fact (including Chicago), were extremely limited, and sales were cut off at the band's wishes only after a few days.

Thanks very much for the information. Never heard of the Missing Link posters that year. That is very interesting... Do you know if sales were cutoff because they were not authorized by PJ to produce and sell the posters? Also, any idea whether any one of the 3 posters produced by Missing Link was for the Alpine Valley show?
