A new question about 10c
Ok, i am not a 10c member and I am looking to join. I know it is seniority based and it is fair enough I think. The reason I hadn't joined up was because I only just got a credit card not to long ago so I couldn't join up online and when people say they joined up 14 yrs ago, well i was 7, so puts me behind already. My problem isn't the $20 or whatever it is, I am thinking when it comes show time, with my high number would it be better for me to get 10c tickets or just get regular seats? I just dont want to be somewhere where i will struggle to see.
By me saying this please don't think I am selfish and trying to muscle in on a long term members seat, I just wouldn't want to be somewhere I couldn't see.
Thankyou

My friend's number is in the 180-200xxxish area. I think. Since 2000 we've been using his number for tickets and I really haven't sat in a bad spot. For East Rutherford this year (2nd show) we sat about 15 rows up off the floor on Mikes side. And honestly, I would so much rather those tickets than ones in the back of the floor.
The worst seats I've had were maybe row 40 at the Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ. Still not bad at all.
Granted, I think the new 10c numbers are over 400xxx, it probably won't be that bad, as I think they usually only sell 10% of the seats to the 10c.Abraham Lincoln once said, "If you are a racist, I will attack you with the North."0 -
at this point i would actually think youd get better seats through TM... sad but true... i still think the $20 is worth it for all the other perks... my numbers 311xxx and my seats are pretty ok... i think for the next tour im gonna try to find a buddy with a better number tho (im spoiled after the vic and lolla
) 0 -
you're in Oz..so even high numbers can get you good seats as I understand.
A friend got a mid 100s number and gets front row there.0 -

Join because you support the band. It took me at least 10 years to know that good seats were part of the package.

I never thought to join a band's fan club. After the 2000 tour, I did right away.

Just join will you.

being around non-poseur fans is worth the 20 bucks alone. Depending on the place you never know how close you can be. Obviously big places like NY/Chicago/LA-sanfran you'd be farther back, but in Europe you'd be pretty close I'd guess.
Plus you never know when the system will get fucked up like it did a few years ago and all the numbers were switched around!
take a chance, you'll like it....you know you will, c'mon do it!0 -
If the 10% of the tickets theory is correct across the board, then even with the worst 10C #, you will still be ahead of 90% of the rest of the venue.
I would say always go with 10C tickets.0 -
Thanks for the advice. You will be pleased to know that i joined

I don't know what my number is, i guess that will come when they send it out to me.

In my experience, everyone who goes with ticket master ends up way way way up in the nosebleeds. Like 3rd level behind the band. It sucks. You will never have a "bad" seat in the fan club and they will only get better. You made the right decision. You can see your number by logging into the goods section. After you login, click on profile. Let us know how high they are up to. But don't give out your whole number for security reasons. Not sure what some scumbag could do with it. For example, leaving off the last 3 digits my number is 343,XXX This is a high number and my first show with it I was side stage about 10 rows back. Not bad at all considering i am in the NJ/NY area which is a big PJ location.0

One important thing to remember is that you may have access to 10c only things. Like the Letterman post show, Irving Plaza, Storytellers, pre-sale records, limited editions, shit like that. Well worth the $20.~!~ Peace ~!~ Love ~!~ Pearl Jam ~!~0

if u are only planning on seeing oz shows, then u have nothing to worry about. 220xxx got about row 4 in bris and adelaide. 2nd in perth and about 7th in sydney and melbourne for the 06 tour. 280xxx was about 2 rows behind that..
if u plan on seeing GA shows in europe, then there is no priority in terms of 10c vs 10c... just vs the general public. so u could be on the barrier with your 450xxx if u get there early enough.
if u plan on seeing seated shows in the US.. well.. suck up to someone on this board
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.0 -

I got an email and it said they have received my order but they haven't yet processed it. I will let you know, and thanks for the security tip, I have noticed people doing that, there are some dodgy people out there, hopefully none on this board.....Sydney 11/02/2003

yeah man, if you just plan to see aussie shows, you'll be sweet.
i haven't had worse then 3rd row, but yeah i've been a member since 98, with a number like 195XXX.
i think at the brissie show last tour there were like 10 rows of 10club members and sydney and melbourne had a bit more, but you'll easily be in the 1st 15-20 rows.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

i think youre a bit lower than that i joined late 99 and have 193XXX
sounds like i gotta go to oz to see some shows. My seats around here are from 15-20 rows back to 15 rows side stageish.
And worse comes to worse you could buy ticketmaster and 10c seats and see which are better...Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?0 -
ha! you do realize thats the stupidest rumor ever? its a 10C # for christ sake! not your social security.... mine for example is 311292... what good does knowing that do anyone? they cant login to my profile online without my email and password and cant pickup tickets under my name without a photo ID...Come Back in Black wrote:But don't give out your whole number for security reasons.
