  • What i'd like to know is how people were able to buy tickets to the second MSG show when it clearly stated they weren't on sale till 3PM PDT. Isn't that 7 EDT? Which by my clock its 6:55. Seriously I think this is the last time I renew my 10c membership. Its really just a waste.

    There's a 3 hour difference, not a 4 hour difference.

    3 hours, not 4.

    Google it.
  • Honesty man,
I have no clue. I used a Mac as well and I was lucky enough to get tickets to both MSG shows. The only difference is I used Mozilla Firefox instead of Safari. I don't know if that has any effect on it, but I doubt it.
Whenever a page was taking a while to load, instead of just hitting refresh or going back to the the previous page, I just waited until it loaded or an error message came up. If an error message came up, I just clicked to go back to the previous page and then clicked to return to next page.

Some guy named "Tremor-Chris" posted something on how he succeeds everytime. His method sounds pretty good, but I think a lot of it is luck, patience, and persistence. Good luck man.

PST counts as 1 of the 4 time zones. If you added 4 hours on top of their time, that would mean there's 5 times zones in the continental US. Since there's only 4 time zones, add 3 hours as there are 3 other time zones.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

yea always wait until you get some sort of message before refreshing if hitting refresh before any page loads that only makes matters worse

Luck, patience, and a decent internet connection. But mostly luck. I'm sorry you've been shut out :( I find if I do not have tickets in my cart within the first 5-10 mins of the tickets being posted, I tend to get shut out. Couldn't tell you what I'm doing differently than you. Hope you're still going, regardless.

I'm still trying for NYC1. Not stopping until it says sold out, dammit!!

I feel for you. I too have a Mac but I used Google Chrome (works faster). I logged into the site about 20 minutes prior and just kept hitting refresh about 2-3 minutes before 3 pm (MST). I had the tickets in my cart right at 3 pm but it took me about 7 minutes to checkout. I kept having to submit my credit card info but I finally got the confirmation page. This was my first time buying tickets here so I feel very fortunate. Keep trying though. It doesn't show as "sold out" yet.

That's interesting, because somebody else suggested using Google Chrome, but it did absolutely nothing for me. Mozilla ended up being the champion of the day for me, but I'm trying for Hartford tomorrow, so I'll see if Chrome works any better.

I had Chrome running for both MSG presales.

Both times Chrome got me nowhere, but Firefox I got two shows from... with time and patience.

Chrome gave up on the refreshes way too quick with "this webpage is not available" messages. FF took longer to try to get on, and worked pretty darn well. Still slow and lots of tabs open trying to load... but FF worked.

Now I've heard everything. If you can't figure out the time zones, then someone other than you completely deserves to get tickets, and you don't. No offense. Doesn't Ten Club usually link to Time Zone Converter, too? Come on man.

This was the first time I have ever used Chrome. My kids told me it was faster than Safari and FF, and hey, it worked! But I was all freaked out and worried about getting tickets that I had everyone get off the internet so I wouldn't have any interruptions. It worked for me. In and out in 10 minutes. I'd just open up all three and see what happens.

  • despite what the 10C says, the more browsers you can log in with at the same time, the better your chances of having 1 actually go through. I disagree with everyone who thinks its just luck. Luck may play a part of it, but there are things you can do to help your chances. I heard everyone talking about Chrome and it got me nothing. I was able to get through with good ol' internet explorer. I had 4 browsers going at the same time and for whatever reason, the IE browser was the one that got me in. If you just use one browser and something gets hung up for whatever reason you are toast.

OMG I did that too. The family knows when Pearl Jam tickets are being sought, no one else may use the internet. They know it by now.

FWIW I use Firefox. And you mustn't give up. Sometimes it takes a half hour or more. But thing is tickets get thrown back on the pile, as some peoples' credit cards or declined, or their orders time out. So keep trying. Its taken me close to an hour before. You just have to be really patient, and stay focused and calm.

i used a mac with firefox ... my approach is to keep hitting refresh but looking at the status ... sometimes it looks like nothing is happening but if it says connected i wait and wait ... when eventually i get the "BUY" page - i won't leave it ... meaning ... i hit buy and if times me out - i hit refresh/resend ... if i get the face page - i hit back and hit the buy button and keep doing the same thing ... all the while looking to see if it's connected to the site ... i keep doing that until it finally grabs and then basically keep doing the same thing until i get thru the checkout ... it took me 25 mins for night 1 and 78 mins for night 2 ...
